It can be purchased from most depepartment stores and larger boots stores etc It comes out really dark when you pump it out which can look a bit scary but I find this a good thing, as you can see where you are applying it onto the skin and so you can apply it more evenly. If you can get hold of gloves to wear this will prevent the stain from being left on your hands. Simply apply it to your body and it dries pretty quickly. I usually wait around a couple of minutes befo...more

Premium Review Fake Bake Self Tanning Mousse (389 words)

Fake Bake Self Tanning Mousse Fake bake is the name of a premier range of fake tanning product that are available for self or professional application. I have had fake bake applied professionally on two occasions. It was applied in a beauty salon by means of an airbrush. On both occasions I found that I had a beautiful, really rich and natural looking tan, almost as though I had been abroad for a fortnight. To have Fake bake professionally applied costs around £25 so with my budget it really has to be a special occasion. This is why I decide to try Self Application in the form of Fake Bake Mousse. Fake Bake Mousse is available on line and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mousse Me Up! (906 words)

I am quite the Fake Bake fan. I have had plenty of experiences with other fake tans of turning all different shades of colour, of patches of fake tan being removed in the rain and of having hands ten times darker than my body, but in my opinion Fake Bake products do not leave you with any of these results. I first tried Fake Bake because I wanted to try something a little bit more expensive than my previous fake tans since I had to admit the results hadn't exactly been desirable. I hadn't really heard a lot about Fake Bakes itself but when I tested a variety of the fake tans on offer in Harvey Nichols it seemed to be the one that suited me the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fake Bake Self Tanning Mousse: fake bake tan (236 words)

This is one of the better fake tans on the market. To have it professionally applied it costs around 25 pounds and upwards and to the buy the can yourself it costs around 21.50. Although pricey this is one product that is worth it as it lasts, gives a natural, deep tan and doesnt have that horrible smell. It comes in a gold container (similar to a hair mousse aerosal) with the black fake bake logo. It can be purchased from most depepartment stores and larger boots stores etc It comes out really dark when you pump it out which can look a bit scary but I find this a good thing, as you can see where you are applying it onto the skin and so you can apply it more ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Great fake tan (157 words)

I am a very pale skinned personl naturally which doesn;t bother me so much, but sometimes I just look pasty and need a bit of help, which is where Fake Bake comes in! I first bought this product when I was in LA as it is miles cheaper over there. I used the mousse version which I prefer to lotions as it doesn't tend to streak as much and blends in better. This product doesn't have that rancid smell that many other self tan lotions and potions do and upon looking at pictures of myself with this on, it really does look very nice and natural. It goes on very dark which is a bit scary but then when you wash it off in the morning it leaves a nice golden ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fake Bake Self Tanning Mousse: only the best (191 words)
by - written on 17/06/08 (Somewhat useful, 284 readings)

I do like to have a natural tan, but I tend to take quite a while to actually get tanned. However once I start to tan, I often develop into a nice golden colour. My natural skin tone is inbetween dark and fair, my mother is fair and my father more dark. So I do tan after a while, this is everywhere appart from my legs which always seem to stay nice and pasty. This is why I choose to fake tan. I only ever tan my legs as the rest of my body seems to be much of a darker shade. This fake bake is one of the best fake tans which I have ever tried, I borrowed my friends as I find it rather pricey, but still cheaper than a spray tan. The results were amazing, I loved the mouse, ...  Read the complete review
