... moisterising and ir promises what it says. I never believed in the 'preping of skin before the tan' because I am always a little weary about companies selling on products. So I use normal moisteriser after my shower. But I actually decided to give the fake bake polish and gen u wine oil free polish/moist a try. It can be found on eBay. I must say - it is fantastic. It improves the look of your skin and does again, exactly what it says. I wont be turning back. The spray fake airbrush tan gives fantastic results b...more

Premium Review Fake Bake Self Tanning Lotion (811 words)
by - written on 08/10/07 (Very useful, 1201 readings)
Rating:

After reading many reviews on Fake Bake, and hearing mostly good things, I decided to give it a go. I have fair skin which can become pasty in the wintertime if I haven't managed to go away on a foreign holiday. I used to be a sunbed worshipper but I found the maintenence rather expensive; spending around £10-15 every week (not to mention the increased skin cancer risks). What's the hype? 'Fake Bake will give you the richest, longest lasting self tan, completely streak and hassle free. ' The product has a colour guide to insure even application and apparently prevents streaking. It contains two organic tanning agents called DHA and Erythrulose which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Outstanding Results! (350 words)

The BEST self tan product around! I have used many self tan products in the market, but this is my personal favourite. I have used self tans made by many different brands. From cheap ones including: Solitan, Ambre Solaire to more expensive ones such as No7, St Tropez and Fake Bake. Fake Bake is available widely in stores such as Boots and Superdrug, including many salons. It is also used widely in salons and by many stars including Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud. SMELL This self tan does have a strong smell. The smell however does not put me off as I always achieve my desired result. PRICE The price varies depending on ...  Read the complete review

REVIEW OF FAKE BAKE BEYOND BRONZE AIRBRUSH TANNING SPRAY* INTRODUCTION I am naturally a very pale skinned girl who come summer time (not that we've been seeing too much of THAT this year, but I digress...) wants a healthy glow that doesn't look orange, tacky, cheap or any of those other adjectives so often directed at fake tan. Instead, I want to look golden and natural like you see in magazines and on celebrities. Unfortunately, even with the advances in fake tans these days, you still get what you pay for. Those celebrities don't use the cheapo own brand stuff, they use professional products to achieve those gorgeous results. Lately the buzz has ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Amazing Fake Tan (410 words)

After using tonnes of high-street fake tans I was very apprehensive about trying Fake Bake but decided to give it a go. The first time I purchased Fake Bake was from www.lookfantastic.co.uk and was in a set which included Fake Bake origional lotion, body scrub and body oil and I was left with not much change from £50.00!! I thought it must be something special at that sort of price. I followed the instructions that came with it and started off by using the body polish all-over in the shower. The Body Polish is great it smells great too, it doesn't take long to apply and makes your skin feel and smell gorgeous. I then followed this busy using Fake ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fake Bake: Baking at it's best! (515 words)
by - written on 09/01/09 (Very useful, 1327 readings)

I have tried a number of different fake tans in the past all without great success. My previous favourite had been St Tropez but I found that to be a little streaky with a slight greeny tinge if you did a few applications in a shorter space of time. A friend introduced me to Fake Bake about a year ago, she uses sunbeds (much to my disapproval!) and keep a bottle of fake bake handy to also top up her colouring as and when. I buy the tri pack version which includes 1 x Self Tanning Lotion (170 ml), 1 x Body Polish (170ml) and 1 x Skin Smoothie Oil (170ml) and one pair of re-usable gloves all contained in a PVC clear drawstring bag. I have found this for about ...  Read the complete review
