Doesn't come close to St.Tropez (Fake Bake)
Member Name: hyperellie1
Advantages: Quick to apply Disadvantages: Same price as St.Tropez but not worth it!, Foul Smelling, Stains everything
I bought Fake Bake after i'd been using St.Tropez for a year so it was always going to be hard to convert me, BUT Fake Bake doesn't even come in the running for my best Self-Tan! In theory the product is ok...not to expensive, well designed and raved about by Britney, but I find that in practice it just doesn't perform... well not as well as Palmer Cutler or St.Tropez. The exfoliator in the Fake Bake range is better that St.Tropez but other than that it's behind all the way (read my separate review on St.Tropez). The cream takes approximately half hour to apply, you then have to leave it on for 6 hours or more then wash it off and moisturise, prior to that you should of exfoliated (either the same day or preferably for a couple of days). Once you have the tan on you will need to exfoliate and moisturise with the smoothie spray daily. I really like the smoothie spray but unlike normal moisturiser you cant use it to dilate the tanning lotion to do the "dodgy" areas i.e, knees, elbows ect. which I feel is a disadvantage. The tan itself is quite orange compared to other brands and doesn't last as long. Also if you go to bed prior to washing it off, your bedsheets will be stained! To be honest, in a world where St.Tropez doesn't exist everybody would think this product is great so I am probably being a little harsh... but for me it just doesn't make the grade im afraid!
