~Wonderful Whipped Body Cream from FCUK~
I received a tub of FCUK Whipped Body Cream as part of an FCUK Polished gift set containing a body spray, scrub, and body wash a while ago and have really enjoyed using it, as it smells really nice and is easily absorbed by the skin. I wouldn't have looked at this product at all prior to receiving it, but would not hesitate to recommend it now that I have used it as I feel it is a really nice product to use. I still have a small sized 75ml tub of this body cream in my collection, which is rather helpful whilst I review the product, as I am able to apply some of the cream to remind myself how well it works. The standard sized product container holds 300mls of cream which lasts for ages in my experience, although the smaller 75ml tubs are perfect for use when going on holiday, etc.
The product container that the cream comes in is compact and easy to handle. The tub style shape of the container makes it is easy to store away and I have found that it never topples over once placed on a flat surface, as it is well weighted at the base due to its shape. There is a simple black coloured twist off lid to the tub that can be opened and closed with ease. Once closed the lid provides a good seal, keeping the body cream fresh and fragrant, ready for its next use. I have found that the body cream does seem to accumulate around the edge of the lid and the top of the tub to a certain extent over time. This requires a quick wipe away from time to time in order to preserve a hygienic seal.
The tub I have looks like the Dooyoo picture, although there is an additional artwork design across the front of the product label which looks more feminine and up to date. There is very minimal information given on the product container which says this is a 'rich whipped body cream that melts easily onto the skin'. This is a claim that I would most certainly agree with as I find that almost as soon as I apply the cream it sinks in nicely. The product also promises that it is 'packed full of ingredients that provide lasting hydration to the skin' and yet again I feel this is a fair statement as this body cream is very moisturising and hydrating, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth every time I use this product.
I find that the cream feels quick thick and yet light and whipped when I apply a small amount to the skin. I like the way the cream leaves skin feeling soft and supple, with no greasy or oily residue left being once it has dried down. A small amount of the product goes a long way and feels very rich and luxurious in my opinion. I like the soft yet enduring fragrance this body cream has as it feels warm and enveloping when I wear it. I received a matching body spray with the cream and found that the two products worked really well together, with the combined fragranced effect lasting for many hours. When combined with other products in the same range this product gives a really luxurious pampering experience to the skin in my opinion.
The mix of ingredients in the body cream include a blend of orange blossom and pomegranate, mixed with sweet almond oil and shea butter, although I think this cream smells as though there is a generous helping of vanilla mixed in with the other ingredients somewhere (I could be wrong though). I really like the fragrance of the cream and feel it works really well when used with other products from the Polished range including the fragranced body spray which I can recommend. There is also a sugar scrub that works really well, as well as a body wash that I can also say works well.
~Price/ product rating~
When I last bought some FCUK Whipped Bodycream I opted for the smaller 75ml sized tube which was priced at £2.35. As even a small sized tub of this cream goes a very long way I feel the price is more than fair. The larger sized 300ml tub used to cost just under £6, which again is very good value for a product that works so well and lasts so long. My rating for this product is 5 stars as I feel it fragrance well and softens the skin at the same time, leaving it feeling pampered and hydrated, with no greasy or oily residue that might transfer to clothing.
Products from the range of FcuK body care products are some of my favourites and I am always quite excited to receive them at Christmas. The product I am about to review is the FcuK Polished Whipped Body Cream.
The Body Cream comes in a massive 300ml screw top tub. Even before opening the tub I can see that it is a good quality product, the tub is a blush rose colour with a black screw top lid. The writing on the tub tells me that this is a 'Rich and luxurious cream' that 'Melts easily' and is 'Packed full of Ingredients that ensure lasting hydration'. On the back of the tub is a massive list of ingredients which, if you have allergies, I advise you read through before purchasing. Happily the tub is fully recyclable.
The scent of the Body Cream is positively heavenly combining extracts of Orange Blossom, Pomegranate, Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oil. It is described as a 'warm and sensual scent that blends Mandarin and Osmanthus flowers with creamy Vanilla notes'. I love to smell the Body Cream and could quite happily have my nose in the tub most of the day. I can not pick out any one particular scent but the combination of ingredients make for a wonderful aroma.
I feel the Polished range of products is more suited to Autumn and Winter as the scent is quite heavy and warming, I prefer something lighter and floral for the Summer.
The Body Cream is a rich looking cream colour and the consistency of the cream is buttery and smooth and is very quickly absorbed into my skin. I don't suffer from dry skin but I can feel the difference this Body Cream makes. My skin fools smoother and softer and looks nourished, it seems to have a bit of a glow after applying.
The Body Cream does not take long to be absorbed so I can start getting dressed almost immediately after applying.
I like to layer the Body Cream with shower gel and body spray from the FcuK Polished range for a lasting scent. I would say the Body Cream keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day; there is no need to reapply between showers.
The only downside to the Body Cream for me is that it is in a tub, when I scoop some cream it gets under my nails and I have to spend a bit of time removing it.
I can't find the Body Cream in Boots any more and neither is it available on the FcuK website. I will have to be satisfied with the tub and a half I have left or have to source it off eBay.
Thank you for reading.
After having this as a present once and losing it, these are something I pick up quite regularly and can be bought from boots or a tiny bit cheaper on eBay if you are lucky!
You can pick one of these up from boots for around 6 pounds, this will give you 300ml of the cream and it absolutely lasts ages, I had the last one for six months before I bought a new one and I used it once or twice a day, The tub is quite big which is a downside, its about three inches tall and is about the same width of one of my Yankee candles, which means it can be quite clumpy and hard to keep somewhere! The colour of the tub is a very light red pink, and the lid is like a transparent black!
I normally apply this straight out of the bath or shower, The screw lid can be difficult to take off with wet hands . The cream looks a lot like a thick yogurt and smells very fruity and the first thing you will notice about the product is how silky it feels when you take some out, the cream is more of a bouncy gel than a cream making it really easy to get just as much as you need from the tub, I then apply all over (avoiding my face as I use something else) and within 3 minutes its completely dry and its ready to get dressed, at no point is this cream ever sticky!
Because the smell stays on through the day I thought I would comment on it, on the label:
"Extracts of orange blossom and pomegranate, shea butter and sweet almond oil"
and as for the scent
"A warm and sensual scent that blends sparkling mandarin, osmanthus flower and creamy vanilla notes"
The citrus fruits add a really youthful smell and the vanilla softens the smell perfectly, I would even go as far to say that if French Connection made a perfume with this smell only stronger I would buy it! So a definite top marks for the smell and it is a smell everybody would really like!
The results of this product are great, the smell stays on all day and the cream isn't at all sticky or overpoweringly smelly, This cream gives my legs an amazing shine and glow after use and my skin feels really soft to touch, it really does a good job as a moisturising body cream!
A great smelling, perfectly working body cream that isn't sticky and quick to dry and absorb and a good price for something that lasts so long, the only downsize is the tub is really hard to take about with me! But overall I would give this a five out of five and would really recommend this product as a body cream as its one of the best I have come across!
I received this in a gift set a while ago. I didn't use it straight away as I assumed the FCUK products would be cheap and synthetic, but boy was I wrong! FCUK products can be purchased from Boots or direct from French Connection. This product is not currently stocked in stores, but it can be picked up from eBay for a few pounds.
The cream has extracts of orange blossom, pomegranate, shea butter and sweet almond oil. The cream smells sweet, which is pleasant but not too synthetic. It is beige in colour and has a thick, blancmange- like consistency, which is easy to remove from the tub. Only a little of the cream is needed to cover the limbs as it is so thick. It is easy to apply to the limbs and is absorbed fairly quickly into the skin and my skin feels instantly moisturized. The fragrance is quite strong, so I wouldn't recommend the use of this if you wish to wear perfume or prefer fragrance free products.
My skin feels smooth and soft all day, after using this. It looks nourished, and the fragrance is still evident hours after applying.
This is a wonderful product! The ingredients are of good quality for a product by FCUK, and my skin feels so nourished and soft after using this. I recommend this to people who need a bit of moisture relief and I will be stocking up if it is brought back to the shelves!
I was given the FCUK Whipped Body Cream as a present for my birthday last year, and when I opened the HUGE tub I was pleased.... "A Sumptuous Treat for Dry skin" it told me on the front. As I do have very dry skin I was looking forward to using it, and the friend who had bought it for me highly recommended it. I have since seen it in Boots for £5.87 so it is a good price for the amount you get.
You get a whopping 300ml of the whipped body cream, and it comes in a clear tub with a black plastic lid. The writing is in black stating "fcuk Polished", "whipped body cream" and this is large letters and really stand out. Underneath it gives you some ingredients and directions of use on the back.
When you first take off the lid you are hit with a strong smell which is quite overpowerering but a nice deep scent. You can pick out the orange fragrance and this seems to be the most dominant.
The body cream itself is pink in colour and it a thick consistency to the touch. When applied it does spread easily over the skin, and a blob about the size of a golf ball was enough to do half my body. I slathered it on after a bath and was amazed at how far the cream went. I have tried other Body Butters and as they are very thick, they don't seem to go very far. This however does! It's also not too greasy and sinks into skin with the hand of a bit of a massage.
As I slathered it on, I did find the smell very strong but as it was a nice aroma I could put up with it. This smell does stay on your skin for a good few hours and slowly fades away. I was very pleased and my skin the next morning was soft and felt great.
I continued using it after every shower and bath and have to say my dry skin improved. No longer was I plagued my scaly legs and dry arms, and the tub went on and on! My only problem was the fragrance it has. After around a week of using it daily I started to find the smell way to overpowering. When I went to bed it was all I could smell and the orange was all I could smell all day. Now it's not a bad smell, but for me it was far too strong.
I continued to use the rest of the tub as it was helping my skin, but I was relieved when it had all gone and I didn't go and get more. I will not use it again as I have found products since that work just as well but hasn't got this strong smell.
I received the FCUK Polished Whipped Body Cream along with a few other FCUK products as a present
last year. As I was given quite a few body products for both birthday and Christmas presents I've
only recently started to use this one.
This comes in a bright pink plastic tub with the FCUK logo and product information in black writing and
a screw on black lid. The product contains extracts of orange blossom, pomegranate, shea butter and
Before I opened this I had expectations of a light fluffy cream similar to a body souffle I've been
using recently so I was slightly disappointed that the cream was quite thick and heavy in consistency.
The consistency did make me slightly concerned that this might be greasy or difficult to absorb into
my skin. Thankfully my initial thoughts were unfounded as the cream feels lovely as you rub it in and
it's easily absorbed into my skin. Unlike some of the body creams and lotions I've used in the past
there's no sticky or greasy feeling to my skin after I've used this so my skin just feels soft and
This is actually one of the best body moisturisers I've used lately I was pleasantly surprised at how
soft my skin felt and could I still see and feel the difference a couple of days after I'd first used the
cream.I have sensitive skin and suffer from occasional dry patches so anytime I try a new product I
usually only try it on a small area of my body the first time in case there's any reaction before I start
using it properly. I'm pleased to say I've had no nasty reaction to this and I'm amazed at the
difference it has made to my skin compared to the body cream I had been using over the last couple
The cream itself is a very pale pink in colour and although I can't really pick out any one scent from
the ingredients it does have a lovely light clean scent. I love the fact that the scent lingers on my skin
for quite a while after I've used the cream and the scent isn't overpowering so it won't clash with any perfume or body spray.
The only thing I'm not too keen on is the fact it comes in a tub so you have to stick your fingers in
the cream rather than squeezing it from a tube onto your hand. For some reason I really hate
cream going under my nails and trying to put a screw top on a tub with slippery hands can be a
pain although both of these are minor annoyances and wouldn't stop me from buying this in future.
I got this as part of a set but it's available separately for £5.87 for a 300ml from Boots although
this seems expensive a little of this goes a long way so the tub should last a while and Boots
regular 3 for 2 offers should mean there's a chance of getting it cheaper.
My skin feels lovely and soft after using this so I can definitely see myself buying this again after
my current tub runs out and even at full price I'd say it's worth it for me personally.
Today I will be reviewing the fcuk whipped bodycream
It is packaged in a pink plastic tub with a brown screw on lid. On the tub it tells me that it has in extracts of orange blossom and pomegranate, shea butter, and sweet almond oil. The packagin is plain and simple but the colours go nicely together and it compliments each other well.
The butter is a cream colour and a thick consistency. You scoop it out and a little goes a long way so be sure that its not too much. I rub it in circular motions to make sure it sinks in nicely. The butter really moisturises my skin nicely and the scent lingers for an hour or so. I also have a bodywash with this smell so if I use both it tens to last longer.
The smell is nice too, very floral and girly. It's quite a rich scent and not sweet and girly. I like this body cream and would recommend it to a friend, although I do know of a lot better body creams
Having used FCUK perfume for years I finally decided to broaden my horizons and try some of their other beauty products. I hinted and hinted and it worked - my brother and sister in law bought me a big travel bag with a number of products for Christmas last year. All have become much loved and used items but by far the best was the Polished Whipped Body Cream.
At first I thought this was just a fancy name for an ordinary cream but it really does look and feel as if it has been whipped. The smell as well is amazing and while not overpowering I do often get a quick smell of it throughout the day. According to the jar it is a combination of extract of orange blossom and pomegranate, shea butter and sweet almond oil. No one smell is distinctive but all together they are really nice.
The cream comes in a fairly basic but good sized jar. There is 300ml and while I don't use it every day it lasted for 5 months. It's basically hands, arms legs and front a couple of times a week so it will probably last for around 30 - 35 uses.
According to the information on the jar the almond is included to nourish the skin and the shea butter stops dehydration. It lives up to its claim of feeling soft and velvety and rubs in well so as your skin is not left feeling greasy.
Having checked the recent prices it is going to cost around £6 and while it may not be the most economical product around it is really effective and well worth keeping for occasional use.
It has been replaced and this jar still has about half of it left but with Christmas quickly coming around again I am about to start hinting to see if I can get the next jar in my stocking.
This review also appears on Caio from Muppetbabe
I recieved this for my birthday last year. I also got the shower gel and the body scrub. I have never used FCUK products prior to this as I have said in my previous reviews their 'pink' packaging was very tacky and looked cheap. I have to say I was impressed with the new rebranded packaging and it looksgood on the bathroom shelf. The cream comes in a 500ml tub and costs £5.50. It is normally on 3 for 2 in Boots so you can pick up a bargain.
The cream promises to norish and smooth skin as well as leaving it soft and supple. It contains pomegranate extract, orange blossom, shea butter and almond oil. The first thing you notice when you open the tub is the floral smell. It is very flowery but pleasant. The cream is white and has a very rich consistency. You only need a small amount and it melts into the skin.
I noticed after using this that my skin was soft and smooth. I used this in the night before bed and I noticed that the next day my skin was still soft and moisturised. The smell lingered for most of the day too. I normally use Soap & Glory but this was a good alternative and it was cheaper I would recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury product at a reasonable price.
French Connection (aka FCUK) is a fashion brand found in 1972. They also have a few fragrances on offer and a wide collection of beauty products for men and women.
Boots stock the full range of FCUK beauty products. The products designed for women are sorted into difference ranges based on their use and scent. The ranges are currently named Pure, Polished and Signature. Each range has various products including sprays, shower goodies and creams and scrubs.
The Polished range currently includes the following beauty products :
*Whipped Body Cream
Although the products can be used alone or together, they all differ very slightly in scent but not enough to clash with each other. They are designed to compliment each other.
*~*~*Whipping It Up FCUK Style*~*~*
This isn't your run of the mill body lotion..no it is a Whipped Bodycream! Designed to be used post shower or bath, its luxurious texture is ideal for adding hydration to dry skin leaving it soft and supple. It is enriched with nourishing ingredients including orange blossom, shea butter, pomegranate and sweet almond oil. When used morning and night, it can perform its best on the skin.
The bodycream is ideally housed within a sturdy, round plastic tub. The tub is a dark pink tint and is transparent and comes complete with a black, screw off lid. The writing on the tub confirms the purpose of the bodycream and how to use it. The tub can be recycled and the cream should be used up within 12months of first opening.
*~*~*Availability and Price*~*~*
FCUK Whipped Bodycream comes in a 75ml size priced at £2.35 and a 300ml size priced at £5.87. Available in Boots.
*~*~*Whipped By An Angel*~*~*
I have used a few FCUK beauty products over the past few years and find them to be of a high quality and whilst on offer, very affordable. Last month, I was shopping in Boots and spotted a deal to good to miss..spend £4.00 across the FCUK range and receive a mini Pampering Box worth over £8.00 for free. Knowing that I NEEDED new body sprays, I picked up 2 FCUK ones and went home with my free gift. In this box, was a 75ml tub of Whipped Bodycream and 3 other goodies. I was also given a 300ml tub from my Mum who purchased the big FCUK bag on offer simply for the bag and I got the goodies inside!
I have been using this bodycream alone and also with the other Polished products and feel obliged to tell you how wonderful I consider this product to be! I love treating my skin to luxurious treats and this bodycream fitted the bill perfectly. The tub is ideal packaging as I can ensure no wastage and it can be stacked. I have used up my mini tub and am now onto my full size tub.
Inside the tub, I am greeted to a very thick, off white cream which resembles hair mousse in my opinion! It stays in the tub well due to its thickness. The scent that treats me from opening is simple gorgeous and I consider it to be very unique. It is a scent that I have come to appreciate with the Polished products despite them all offering different aroma notes! It is a sensual scent that although quite fresh, offers a strange depth and subtance.
*~*~*A Whip Is All It Takes*~*~*
When I choose to use this product on its own, I do so after a hot shower. I dry my skin off to the point where it still has a tiny bit of moisture on the surface and relax in order to apply this bodycream. Scooping it from the tub allows me to appreciate its thickness as my fingers need to dig to seperate it from the tub. It is super cool and offers a spongy texture. The cream is undoubtedly rich and feels very high quality.
Apply to my skin is a true treat as it provides me with an indulgent, pampering experience. As the cream makes contact with my moist skin, I need to spread it out quickly as it begins to melt. The rich and thick consistency remains present even as the cream melts into the layers of my skin. Not much effort is needed to ensure it is evenly spready and I can feel its moisturising nature taking hold and adding a strong hydration to my skin.
Upon the cream becoming invisible to my eye, I can feel it sitting on my skin in a slightly, greasy layer and it takes a good 5 minutes to sink right in. The surface of my skin is immediately transformed and is so silky soft that I wondered if my dry skin had been completely eliminated. I find this such a treat that I apply it over my arms, tummy and legs and even after shaving my legs, this cream works wonders and smoothes them out without irritating them. The scent is subtle on my skin but offers a delicate, sweet aroma that sits there for around 2-3hours. The effects when used on its own, are detectable for most of the day and I can see why they have specified to use morning and evening for ultimate results.
*~*~*When A Whip Isn't Enough*~*~*
On the occasions where I feel like using a few of the Polished products together, I opt for the body scrub and spray. The scrub I apply in the shower to rid my skin off the dry and flaky bits. Doing so gives my skin that much needed boost and scrub down. The scrub although isn't overly harsh, it does leave my skin a bit tender and the bodycream helps to smooth the redness away and add extra softness. The scent is almost identical if not a bit fruity but both products blend together without confusion.
When the scent of the whipped bodycream starts to subside, I sometimes top it up with a spritz of the body spray. The little one I have allows me to carry it around in my bag for spritzing when out an about. It offers a top up to the already sensual scent and keeps me going further during the day. I would like to try the EDT of this as other perfumes don't blend well with the scent but this one probably would.
*~*~*Recommendation and Conclusion*~*~*
I love this bodycream..it offers me a luxurious, post shower treat and makes me and my skin feel fabulous. The unique scent is simple devine and I like that I can build on it with other products within the range. 300ml for under £6.00 isn't too bad a price and you can often find the FCUK range on offer in Boots allowing for more savings.
I tend to use quite a large blob of cream each time as I do my whole body and would estimate that the big tub would give me around 10-15 applications. For a treat like this, this is well worth it and I will glady opt for this cream again!
I recommend and thank you all for reading :)
I was given a min set of the FCUK polished range for Christmas and so since using have decided to write reviews on the four products. ** Because of this some of the fragrance part will be the same in each review.
**THE PRODUCT** - FCUK whipped body cream
This product can be bought at the current price of £5.87 for 300mls, or you could buy the product as part of the "polished" range.
The range includes - Body spray, body cream, body wash, sugar scrub, cleansing soufflé, eau de toilette, body butter, bath syrup or a mini pamper box set.
All of which are available from Boots stores and at Boots online.
I have the 75ml tub due to mine being part of a gift set. The tub is a pale purple plastic tub with a grey screw top lid.
Around the tub writing is written, it's name and smell description which includes it's basic ingredients. Further around there is more writing which gives direction on how to use the product. Plus further details of the ingredients inside.
It is clean and simple in design, quite modern.
**THE PRODUCT AND WHAT I THINK**
The product is a off white colour and on opening you get an immediate waft of the "polished" smell. It is fairly thick and looks smooth, soft, a bit like creamy set yoghurt kind of texture. It is very velvety when you use it due to the Shea butter and almond oils they use. A little does go a long way and it does soak into your skin quickly, which is good as they recommend you wait until dry before reapplying your clothes. It does seem to last a long time my skin feels moisturised for several hours after using it, with a silky experience.
Although the product has it's own fragrance (see below) it also has orange blossom and pomegranate in it, these I cannot smell due to the fragrance.
The fragrance is evolved from mandarin and osmanthus flower with vanilla notes.
Osmanthus flower (according to Google) has quite a strong smell and is naturally native to Asia and parts of America depending on the sub variety. Personally I had never heard of it until now which is why I goggled it, but I do like the combination of fragrances in this spray.
You can smell the vanilla coming through quite nicely at the first sniff, but the mandarin you have to be a little more patient for. The mandarin seems to develop more as the fragrance sits on your skin a while.
It may be a little strong for some as it has that woody oriental feature about it that is quite particular, but I am a great fan.
I do think this product is made to the best of it's design when used with others from the range.
A great product with a wonderful smell.
I got given the whipped cream as part of a FCUK body product box for Christmas from my aunt and uncle, and I loved the pot it was presented it and most importantly the smell was just fruity and amazing! sadly there was about 75 ml in the pot I was given. Then one day, I was saw this pot at a car boot of 300 ml and I assume it was going to be expensive as it was FCUK and never been used, but it was only a pound so I bought it!
The product scents are orange, blossom, pomegranate, shea butter and sweet almond oil. I love how these are put together to make this product smell gorgeous and makes your skin feel soft and smooth and very fruity smelling (citrus smelling)
As the cream is whipped, you don't actually need to apply loads of it onto your skin cause even the tiniest bit of cream will still make your skin feel soft and smooth and smelling of citrus! Also another good thing about this product is that it is not messy and you don't have to worry about getting the stuff everywhere and when you moisterise your hands with this cream, the cream dries quickly so your hands won't be sticky afterwards, instead you'll get lovely soft, smooth hands.
It does have a little descrition underneath the ingredients of the body cream and yes, it does exactly what it does on the label (unlike other body creams or beauty products which advertise what the product is suppose to do, but actually doesn't do the job.)
the best time to use this product is in the morning and/or in the evening but to get better results, do this after bathing/showering.
Personally I love this body cream and if i could have only on body cream for the rest of my life it would be this one because it works brilliantly, the love the smell (even though i do love the smell of citrus!) and it lasts, and the product is long lasting too, so you could have this product for months as you can get so much out of it! You must give it a try - I assume you'll either like or love it!
I received this body cream as a birthday present last year. I've never used any FCUK products before this and so wasn't sure what to expect.
I don't know how much it costs because it was a present but on the boots website I found it for £2.25 for 75ml and £5.50 for 300ml. This is a really good price considering the body shop body butters are £12.50 for 200ml.
The packaging is ok, it's not sticking but not ugly either. The cream comes as a white partly liquidish form. It's really soft so if you put it upside down then the cream does all over the surface of the lid. Also in the summer try to keep it in a cool place. Its really easily absorbed into the skin and I use it on my neck, arms and legs.
It smells soooo good. It smells like a perfume cream, like those perfumes that have a cream to go with it. The smell lasts for at least 12 hours and it's so strong its like wearing perfume. I would advise not wearing perfume if you use this product otherwise you get a miss match of aromas and it gets a bit too much.
I use it sometimes on my face and surprisingly it doesn't look oily or greasy (I have combination skin). Also even a small tub lasts a long time.
This contains mandarin, osmanthus flower, vanilla and shea.
The fcuk whipped body cream is another product that I came to get by accident. After buying a fcuk bag from boots around Christmas time I got it home to realise that it contained a few full size freebies. I wouldn't normally used fcuk products to be honest as I always thought them to be rather cheap. Even though they are fairly highly priced I was put off a while back when I had a sniff of my friends fcuk body spray which I didn't like at all. Anyway the free products sat around for a good while before I decided to give them a go. I tried the cleansing body soufflé and really liked it so I decided to give the whipped body cream a try.
The cream comes in a rather attractive pink tub with black writing and a black lid. There isn't anything that makes this cream stand out off a shelf but I think the packaging looks attractive enough. The tub contains 300ml.
I decided to use this cream straight after the bath as I always like to moisturise when I'm still a little wet to help the cream soak in and get all the moisturising benefits. The first thing I noticed was the thick luxurious constituency of what appeared to be more like body butter than a cream. Even though the cream looks buttery you can tell upon touch that it is actually a very thick whipped cream.
The cream contains extracts of orange blossom, pomegranate, Shea butter and sweet almond oil. I would have to say that I think the sweet almond oil is the smell I can sense most coming through as well as a mild hint of the Shea butter. I do really like the sent it is subtle and I cant help keep smelling it.
I must admit I was a little concerned that the cream would be hard to spread into the skin considering it appeared to be rather thick but it melted into my skin great and I hardly had to use any cream. I really love this cream and I use it practically every day now and yet I still have half a tub left I just know this is going to last me a good while.
When the cream runs out I will definitely be buying this again I have already looked up the price and it costs £5.50. I think this is reasonable considering it does last a long time and the cream is very luxurious. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who like a bit of luxury.
I received the FCUK polished, whipped bodycream for Christmas as part of a collection of FCUK products. I have always been a fan of FCUK body products however haven't actually tried them again in at least 4 years and by this time they have all actually changed.
I didn't think I would be disappointed when my boyfriend bought me a whole collection of FCUK products but wasn't sure if they would be as nice as they used to be.
So I opened this whipped bodycream shortly after Christmas and have been using it on my body, all over, every single day since then. I'm still only half way through the pot so I have a feeling it will be lasting me a long time, possibly up to three months.
On first appearance the body cream looks much like a body butter, quite dense but a little creamy. I dipped my finger in to the pot and this is exactly how it was. I find this just a tiny bit disappointing as really I would like it just a tiny bit more creamy or lotiony.
The smell, however, made up for this negative factor. The pot states that it has extracts of orange blossom and pomegranate, shea butter and sweet almond oil. By this I think they mean they haven't made the product too sweet or too fruity but just combined the two. It doesn't really sound like a great combination but trust me, it works as it smells really lovely!
So applying the body lotion. As I mentioned it is similar to a body butter and quite rich but I have found that it is much easier and quicker to rub into your skin than other body butters I have used. It doesn't leave my skin in the slightest bit greasy just gives a very pleasant smell. I would have liked the cream to be more lightly 'whipped' and less dense.
The smell actually lasts for a very long time. After applying the body cream early this morning I found that I could still smell it in the middle of the afternoon today. I also applied the body lotion the other morning and was doing exercise late in the evening and found I could smell the cream as my pores were opening up! I found this quite strange but I smelt much more pleasant considering I was a bit sweaty!
Another negative thing I noticed this morning when I was about to apply the product was that as I had left tiny lumps of cream on the inside of the lid, the little globules had gone a funny dark colour and looked like mould. I don't think it actually was mould as I removed it and it actually smelt just like the body cream. This was however, more my fault!
Although I got an excellent deal for lots of products and a FCUK bag for roughly £30, this bodycream only costs £5 for a 300ml pot in boots. I think this is really good value considering how long it will last and the high quality of the product.
So give it a go! It is definately worth it!
