A few months ago, for my birthday, I was given a bottle of Fenjal cream bath. I love having a long soak in the bath and could hardly wait to try out my present. I had seen Fenjal on the shelf in my local Boots but had decided that the price tag was just too much for me to justify buying a bottle.

Fenjal cream bath comes in a turquoise box. I was pleased to see that the cream bath is contained in a rather shapely glass bottle that could be recycled. As the label stated that this was a luxury cream bath I was intrigued to see that it was a blue liquid contained inside the bottle and not a cream. I followed the instructions and poured a capful of the turquoise liquid into the running water. I was disappointed that no bubbles were produced, as I like lots of bubbles in my bath! The water turned a very pale turquoise as I poured.

Fenjal cream bath is made in Switzerland using pure plant oils. The scent of Fenjal is certainly unique and very difficult to describe. It is quite pleasant although I prefer a more florally scent. The scent is quite strong and I could still smell it in my bathroom an hour later.

The information on the box promises that Fenjal will leave your skin feeling soft and well moisturised. It did leave my skin feeling very soft but unfortunately left my legs feeling quite dry. I have sensitive skin and Fenjal didn't cause any irritation.

Overall I found Fenjal very oily and didn't like the way it left my bath feeling slippery. The smell is unique but I'm not sure I really like it although I don't dislike it either if you understand me! I was disappointed that this wasn't a rich cream bath and prefer lots of lovely bubbles.

If you fancy trying Fenjal then it is widely available. I recently saw in on sale in Boots at £11.99 for a 100ml bottle. I wouldn't buy it myself for any price!

Summary: Fenjal cream bath

I used to buy fenjal in Poland, for some reason never did in the UK - love the smell, and like oily baths, so maybe time to revisit.

What a shame it was so dissapointing! If I paid 11.99 for a creme bath I'd want it to run the bath and clean it afterwards too! Donna x
