After I had bought my floating island bath melt from Lush, I read two very different reviews about the product, on here and the Lush website. Due to this I wasn't sure what I was going to get from my bath melt, and I was saving it for a time when I knew I would be able to spend some time in the bath with a good book. I struggle to just lie in the bath without reading a book as I get bored too easily, so this weekend when I was half way through a good book, I decided that it was time to test out floating island. After checking out the website, I knew it was a good idea to run the hot water in the bath first, put floating island in the bath to encourage the ... Read the complete review

Picture the scene. You're lying on a secluded white beach, blue sea all around you and the sun blazing from above. Feel the sunlight on your skin, hear the cry of exotic birds, smell the wild flowers - this is your private island, your place to chill. Lush Floating Island is nothing like that! Got you all going though, didn't I? I actually think it's called Floating Island more because of the earthy brown colour of it and the way it floats on the top of your bath water than because of any luxury island connections. I'm not really a Lush convert, in fact I think a lot of their products smell awful, but I struck lucky with this Bath Melt. The ... Read the complete review

So I am one of those people with an addiction to Lush products, however I do try to refrain from reviewing them as there's are so many reviews on here of Lush products, people must be getting sick of reading them! ;) There is a reason to the hundreds of reviews on Lush products, they are mostly brilliant products. Lush do a good selection of bathing products, and I usually opt for the bubble bars and an occasional bath bomb. I'm a member of an online selling community where we trade or buy each others items, with it having a large number of female members we usually swap, sell and buy clothes and cosmetics for much cheaper than shop prices/eBay, and I always ... Imagine this. You're wandering aimlessly around a strange city with nothing to do but shop. You've bought all of the shoes and clothes imaginable, but still, you're not satisfied. What do you do? Option a) head to Lush to blow the rest of your money on beauty products? Option b) head to a bar to blow the rest of your money on drinks? Option c) do the smart thing and go back to the hotel, saving your money for another day? Clearly, you do option a. Well, you do if you're a Lush-a-holic who needs to satisfy their craving for all things yummy. One of my purchases during this splurge was the Floating Island bath melt. Something I've used a few times ... Read the complete review

A few weeks ago I ended up having a browse in my usual Lush store having amazingly stayed away from the store for quite some weeks (admittedly I'd been into Gothenburg's store back in April!) and saw and bought my usual products. However for whatever reason I was in desperate need to a really nice hot long soak in the bath - I had been rushing around so much for the past few weeks all I had time for was showers and not for long relaxing baths! I saw the lovely wooden shelves which hold the bath melts which are my usual favourite should I be in need of a pampering night! I've always stayed away from Floating Island, I don't know why I have as it really isn't a ... Read the complete review
