Advantages: Good Price, Prevent Athlete's Foot, Feet Smell Nice

Disadvantages: None

If you want to do some toe sucking I suggest you follow my advice! Feet are rather funny things and I don't particularly like them very much, why anyone would want to suck someone's toes is beyond me. I am told however that it is very erotic, Fergie certainly thought so and so do many others. Whether you're a sucker or not we should take more care of our feet, after all they take the strain of our bodies every single day and if they are covered up all the time they can't breathe properly. This is what leads to a lot of problems. Even marital ones! How many times have you heard us girls complain about our fella's sweaty feet. Well your not alone lad's, don't let us women fool you. If it weren't for the likes of Boots Foot Powders and sprays the shoe would be on the other foot (ha! ha! get it?, well maybe it wasn't that funny) So for all you people out there who's socks and shoe's normally walk on their own, here's what to do:

Firstly let your feet breath as much as possible by taking off socks, tights and shoes. When you do wear shoes if possible pick leather as feet can breath more easily and choose cotton socks. In summer wear open toe sandals and make sure you wear shoes that fit. Don't be squeezing in to anything for the sake of beauty. Corns and bunions will develop later in life not to mention the blisters! Don't flatter yourself by wearing high heels all the time, as well as having accidents (as you will see in my embarrassing moments op) it can seriously affect your posture if you all your weight is placed at the front.

Now after all the sensible stuff what can we do when we can't avoid the unavoidable? Long days in the office, a hard day on the football pitch or a hectic night clubbing! You need to establish a foot care routine that will help fight off fungal infections like athletes foot and make your shoes smell a little bit sweeter. Boots have the answer. I actually own all of t
he products I am about to review and use them religiously. When you have lots of hospital/ physio appointments its important not to have smelly feet!

Firstly I use Boots Deodorising Liquid Foot Powder. When I first discovered this I though it was fantastic. It is much easier to apply than talc and you don't end up with it all over the floor and all over your clothes. It goes on as a liquid that's not too thin so as to spill everywhere when you squeeze the tube but not too thick that it doesn't spread easily. It then dries to a silky powder so your feet don't feel wet and sticky afterwards. It has a deodorant action and also kills the bacteria that cause foot odour. Therefore your feet shouldn't become as sweaty when you use it. It is very nice and refreshing to apply and really cools your feet down. It is a good idea to wash your feet before applying so as to get the maximum benefit. Do wash your hands after applying this as it does dry to a talc finish and you will end up with white hands and it can rub off on your clothes. I won't bore you with the ingredients as there are some very long words that I have never heard of and I don't know what they are, it does contain Aqua and Alcohol but you can't drink it! You have to store it below 30 degrees C and it comes in a 100ml tube. I think the price is very reasonable at £2.85 and well worth it. I have had no adverse reaction to the ingredients at all.

Secondly I use Boots Dual Action Athlete's Foot Powder. This is for the treatment and prevention of Athlete's Foot. It contains anti-fungal and anti-bacterial ingredients that help to control and treat Athlete's Foot. It can also relieve irritation caused by tenderness and sweating. Infact you can actually use it for the treatment of dhobie itch (tinea cruris, groin ringworm) I would however recommend that you seek the advice of a doctor first. The powder can be applied directly to the feet if Athlete's Fo
ot is present or not. This is where your feet can become very itchy and sore, especially between the toes. The skin can peel and it can smell quite badly. It does suggest that if you have Athlete's Foot that for best results you should also use Athlete's Foot Cream.
It advises you to sprinkle the powder inside your socks and shoes, which is what I do. I don't put it on my feet everyday as I use the Liquid talc but it is a good idea to put some in your socks and shoes to help prevent an attack of Athlete's Foot. The powder is priced at £3.29 for 75g. It does say that it can cause an allergic reaction i.e. contact dermatitis but again I have been free from any problems. In view of this the active ingredients are Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride B.P. 0.25% w/w Tolnaftate B.P.1% w/w

Thirdly, I also Boots Deodorising Shoe Spray. This is intended to deodorise and freshen shoes and trainers. It does this by destroying the bacteria that causes shoe odour and it destroys the fungi to protect the shoe linings. The overall result is that if used regularly your trainers and shoes shouldn't become too smelly. This is a godsend. As soon as we take our shoes off I spray them and put them out of the way. I do suffer with asthma and it can get on your chest if you inhale the spray. It is best to do it in a well-ventilated room or get someone else to do it! I used to have to place them near an open window before and this seems to have solved the problem. The cost of the spray is around £2.99 for a 150ml can. They are currently out of stock on both the website and in the store and I can't remember the exact price. They do stock a shoe spray by Scholl that does the same thing for £3.55. I prefer the Boots as they are cheaper and do just as good a job.

Boots sell all kinds of treatments for your feet including foot sprays and foot creams so I am sure that there will be a product to suit you. The prices range from £1.55 for an antiseptic foot c
ream to £3.49 for the Athlete's Foot Spray. Their website www.wellbeing.com is an excellent place to look and they quite often offer free delivery if you spend over £40.00. At the time of writing standard delivery is £2.95 no matter what the size of the order and free if over £40.00

So put your best foot forward and start shopping.

I thought my husband was bad at size 12's, poor you. I bet it's hard to find shoes! Judging by my reads so far there aren't many people with foot fetish out there, more like foot phobia

Are you hankering after reads from foot fetishists?! ;)

My feet are always the bane of my life, considering they're size 14's - still, that's another story!

Super op!
