Ever since I was young, my mum instilled in me the importance of wearing sun cream, I even used to take a little sun-screen stick to school in case I was sitting out on the school fields in the sun! I do have very pale skin so do burn quite easily, and consequently have to wear a high SPF, usually 40+. Now I'm a mum myself, I am equally cautious at keeping Harry's skin protected from the harmful sun, even though he has a naturally darker skin than me and doesn't burn (lucky for him!). When we went to Mauritius last year, I used factor 50 protection on all 3 of us because the sun was so intense, I could almost feel my skin burning when we we sitting on the ... I am a child of Ireland... in other words I'm as pale as they come and not made for hot climates. I recently took a holiday in Tunisia, this being north Africa and my first summer holiday in many a year I knew I needed some tip top protection from my enemy the sun! Off I trotted to the shop and browsed the sun protection options when I came across this new phenomenon - 'Clear Protect'. No I'm not one for gimmicks etc but since this was from a tried and trusted product name (Garnier) I decided to give it a try. So what did I think? Firstly the new 'clear protect' concept. Rather than a lotion or cream as we are accustomed to with sun cream this product is more ... Read the complete review

I am the daughter of a strawberry blonde and freckly mother who burns on stepping outside and a brown haired father who tans to a gorgeous golden brown enough to make all sun worshippers in a mile radius weep with envy...Which of these genetic traits did I happen to end up with? Of course, my mother! I do have a little more resistance to the sun than my mother however, luckily getting a little something from my father! But I do still need to be extra careful in the sun. I can tan, but I can also burn. To make sure I stay the right shade of pale I should be, without doing my skin any damage, I use Garnier Ambre Solair Clear Protect. I am a keen ... I have typically English skin, pale and freckly with a hint of pink. I used to go on at least 2 summer holidays in a year and always managed to get a glowing tan. My skin seems to have changed over the years and whenever it sees the sun it turns in to an ugly burnt mess. I used to hate using the high factor creams as they were always really thick, white and sticky and attracted everything from sand to muck to hairs. Then I used this product and it was great. It soaked in instantly and after a while I forgot that I had it on. It was hard to imagine that something so quick and easy to apply would prevent me from burning, but it ... Read the complete review
