I was tipped of about this product by Sali Hughes, writer of the beauty column in the Guardian who recommended the Garnier Body Tonic Sugar Scrub that is paired with this lotion. When I was in Superdrug I saw that both the scrub and the lotion were half price, so I bought them both. At the time I purchased this, it was £3.06 at half price and normally sold at £6.21, so as you can see it is normally quite a pricey product. I think there has been a half price offer on these products for a while at Superdrug, so you may want to get down there before it's too late!
The lotion comes in a sunny yellow curved bottle with a white flip top, and there is a choice of 2 sizes. The front of the bottle claims that the lotion is both hydrating and firming and that is contains seaweed extract and phytocaffeine. It also promises smoother looking skin in 7 days.
The lotion is described on the back of the bottle as having a "non-greasy gel crème texture" and that is definitely how I would describe it; somewhere between a gel and a cream texture; not too thick but not too runny. It is white and has a distinctive lovely fresh lemon scent that lingers quietly on the skin for some time after application. The lotion spreads and is absorbed easily by the skin, leaving it feeling cool and refreshed, probably a result of the seaweed and grapefruit extracts.
One aspect that I have to disagree with is that the lotion is not very moisturising as it is absorbed quickly leaving the skin feeling relatively dry. In addition I did not find it to be particularly smoothing compared to the other body lotions I use.
In conclusion, the summery citrus scent of the lotion is hugely appealing. Although I do not think it is worth the full price of £6.21, I would definitely buy this product again, largely because it is paired with the superb Garnier Body Tonic Sugar Scrub which has the same scent. Overall the product does the basic job of moisturising the skin with an appealing scent successfully.
Garnier Bodytonic Hydrating Lotion is part of the Bodytonic range designed to smooth and tone the skin, and is available from most good health and beauty retailers. It's usual price is £6.21 for a 400ml bottle.
Why I Bought It
I recently discovered the wonders of the sugar scrub in the same range, which has become an essential part of my body care regime, so I thought I'd check out other products in the range. I spotted the body lotion on offer at just £3 in Superdrug and jumped at the chance to try it out and see if it measured up to the high standards set by the scrub.
The lotion comes in a large yellow plastic bottle which is opaque but I can just about make out how much is left if I hold it up to the light. The bottle is shaped like an oval that's been squashed in the middle making it easy to grip with the hands. It has a flip-top lid which is quite stiff to open but fastens very securely. The flip-top makes it much more convenient to use than screw-top types which can be a pain to open and close with hands covered in lotion.
Garnier claim that this lotion is 'Designed as an energy cocktail for your skin, to keep the skin feeling moisturised all day long, for visibly firmer skin'. It has a 'non-greasy gel-crème texture' for an 'immediate invigorating effect'. It is enriched with seaweed extract 'to help reinforce and firm the skin's surface', and 'phyto-caffeine, known for it's stimulating properties'. They claim that after 7 days use skin will look visibly smoother for a more defined contour effect.
Suitability & Warnings
Garnier products are dermatologically tested to ensure that they are safe for use on even sensitive skin. Please remember however that this does not mean that you cannot have a sensitivity to the product, and it is always advisable to test for sensitivity on a small area before using the product, particularly if you have sensitive skin.
Apply daily, paying particular attention to problem areas such as the thighs. Do not apply to the face. Wash hands after application.
The lotion is of a fairly runny consistency which helps it to flow easily from the bottle. The scent is the same as the body scrub; a very fresh and zesty lemon scent which is quite strong but not overpowering. It smells pretty natural and, unlike a lot of citrus scents, does not remind me in any way of toilet cleaner or other citrus scented cleaning products.
The texture is certainly very gel-like and feels really smooth and silky. It has a very refreshing cool feel to it which is very welcome in the warm weather. Just a small amount of the lotion goes a long way, the consistency and texture allowing it to smooth exceptionally well over the skin. It doesn't take much massaging at all as it is very quickly absorbed into the skin. It feels very light on the skin and doesn't leave behind any residue or greasiness.
It does leave the skin feeling well moisturised without being heavy which again makes it perfect during warm weather when richer lotions can leave you feeling a bit sticky or sweaty. The immediate effect after use is a kind of light tautening effect on my skin which does make it feel a little firmer, but this wears off within a few minutes along with the cooling sensation.
It can sometimes be difficult to judge the effectiveness of products like this so I decided to use it one leg and not the other for a while so that I could make a real comparison.
After using it for a couple of days my skin was already feeling much smoother and more uniform in texture, and after a week's use I could feel a massive difference between the leg I'd used it on and the one I hadn't.
My thighs are not terrible but I do have a bit of cellulite and they're not as firm as I would like so this is the area I was really concentrating on. It has definitely made a real difference to the texture and feel of my skin but unfortunately there has been no major visible difference. It does feel a little firmer and has a slightly smoother look but it hasn't made any difference where my cellulite is concerned and I wouldn't say my contours look more defined. My skin simply looks a little healthier and feels softer, smoother and a little firmer.
Overall I really like this lotion and I think it's great value considering you only need a relatively small amount at a time. I'm impressed with how it's left my skin feeling and unless they're expecting miracles I think anyone else would be too. Definitely recommended.
I'm very flaky when it comes to body lotions and tend to buy what's on offer or just what catches my eye, but this one was actually given to me by my mum after I mentioned that my skin wasn't looking as firm as I'd like in places. She bought a 400ml bottle for £3.06 on offer at Superdrug, but it usually costs £6.12.
The bottle it comes in is very bright yellow so it really stands out on the shelves and is easy to spot. It's not see-through so you can't easily tell how much is left. The bottle curves in at the middle which makes it easy to grip, and it has a flip up lid that makes it so much more convenient and easier to use.
It's a light feeling lotion with quite a runny consistency which makes it spread easily over the skin and a little goes a long way. It has a fresh lemon smell which is nice and natural and not too strong or overbearing. It feels really lovely on my skin and sinks in almost immediately without needing to massage it in loads, BUT massaging it does help it to work better.
After using it my skin feels really silky smooth with no residue, greasiness or heavy feel that I usually get from body lotions. In fact once it's had a few seconds to sink in you can't feel that you've applied it at all except for the soft smooth skin it leaves behind. It also leaves a bit of a shine to my skin, but not in a bad, greasy way, in a healthy glowy kind of way. It looks really healthy and feels lovely. It definitely has a bit of an immediate tightening effect on the skin but this wears off very quickly.
After using this for just a couple of weeks my skin is feeling a little firmer and tighter though not to any great extent, but I wouldn't expect miracles anyway! I did have a little bit of cellulite creeping in on my bum and this has improved slightly as well. My skin does look much healthier and has more of a glow about it too, so I'll definitely continue to use this.
Garnier Skin Naturals Body Tonic is an anti- cellulite firming gel that when used regularly can help tone the skin and help cellulite.
Retail price: £5.00
The formula has stimulating ingredients that really do make a difference to the skin.
I used this on my bottom and the tops of my thighs and it can really give the legs a firming effect along with a sweet lemon smell its pleasant to use.
I would not rely on this product to completely cure cellulite but it does help control and reduce it. I find that using a body brush on the problem area first helps, afterwards apply this firming gel. Do this everyday and at the end of every month you should start seeing a difference with your cellulite and skin. If you do not have cellulite this good for firming your skin anyway.
I have tried all different products, I even bought a £20.00 massager to tone the skin. Nothing really helped till I combined this gel with body brushing, and then I finally saw some results! It's sometimes on offer in certain shops like Ethal Austin, Boots or Asda.
I usually get self conscious when on holiday in a bikini but when I started using this my cellulite was noticeably firmer. My boyfriend complemented on how toned I was looking so it must of done the trick!
Give it a try and see what you think I would give it a 7 out of 10 and will continue to buy it and use it regularly.
When I got the sugar scrub (on offer no less) I also picked up a couple of bottles of this, having used it regularly a few years ago then not being able to find it.
This is a really good moisturiser for dry skin, and leaves skin feeling smooth, touchable and it also smells nice, like fruit and really summery, so good for deep in winter when you're sick of snow, rain and howling wind. This is perfect for a bit of pampering that also helps your skin!
Looking at the bottle, it has caffeine, grapefruit, kiwi and apple in to help smooth and tauten the skin, making skin look less loose and more toned. It takes up to a week to work fully, but you can see it starting from the first application.
It comes in a decent sized bottle (around 250ml) and this lasts a couple of months, even using it everyday, which it's really suited to, being light and non-greasy and absorbs well. It can be a little slow to absorb, so putting this on and then doing hair and/or make up before getting dressed is reccomended.
The scent is quite long-lasting, I use it approximately every two days and can smell it then as well. It also goes on offer with the sugar scrub so another one to pick up cheaply and stock up on, as this does the business.
I decided I needed to try and firm up my skin before I go on holiday so I thought I would try this as I'd heard good things about it. My luck was in and it was on offer in Boots for only £1.90 for the 400ml bottle, whereas it is usually £5.99 I've been using it twice a day for 2 weeks now.
It comes in a big yellow plastic bottle which really stands out on the shelf. The main text is the Garnier logo at the top then beneath this 'body tonic' written in the yellow of the bottle but with a white background. It has a cap head which is easy open and the lotion always comes out easily. I really like the packaging, it is fun but still looks really professional and trustworthy, just like all the other Garnier products.
***What it promises...
It says that the citrus extract and caffeine will help your skin feel firmer instantly as well as moisturising the skin. It also says it is a non-greasy formula.
The cream itself it white and neither thick nor watery, just in-between so it is just right for spreading over your skin and massaging in. It has quite a strong distinctive citrus smell which I quite like, but be warned if you don't like citrus fragrances you wont like this! It has a gel like quality about it and has a nice cooling effect on the skin. It actually feels like it shocks the skin a bit like cold water would when you first apply it, especially after a hot bath / shower.
It is really smooth and I found it easy to evenly spread it over my skin. Massaging it in was also easy as it stays wet on the legs for a few minutes. Once it has sunk in it does leave the skin feeling really tight and kind of springy! It does however make your skin feel a bit sticky and even more so your hands so I always wash my hands straight after using it. I would say the sticky feeling lasts about half an hour which can be a bit annoying when I'm using it in the morning as I've not got half an hour to spare to let it dry.
To get the maximum effect from the product I spend as long as I can massaging it in, I don't think it is designed as a quick moisturiser that you just slap on, I think the idea is to spend a few minutes rubbing it in, boosting your circulation at the same time as letting the product deeply penetrate your skin.
The fresh smell always lasts for the rest of the day as does the moisturising effect. In terms of the firming effect I have definitely noticed a difference in the skin on my legs and stomach, I do regularly attend the gym anyway but this product in combination with that has really made a difference. I don't think it can make you slimmer nor do I think it would completely get rid of cellulite but my skin is firmer and slightly smoother, which I think is a brilliant result from a relatively cheap product.
I have since been back to Boots and bought another bottle of this which unfortunately has gone back to full price now : (
I'm really pleased I found this product and would definitely recommend it. It doesn't work miracles but definitely makes a difference and is worth trying out.
So the sunshine is here (for the time being at least!) and my summer holiday is inching closer and closer. So I always make a little more effort in my skincare routine and I always say to myself 'Stick to it this time woman!' (But I rarely do!) Hence why I have a million unfinished bottles of lotions and potions floating around my room.
But I can't resist a bargain, a good one at that! So after browsing through the shelves at my local supermarket I see this bright bottle shining from within. I had a peek and it seems pretty impressive, not only did the 'body tonic' and yellow packaging appeal to my show off side but what it claimed to do also started giving me small palpitations.
* Firming Lotion
* 24hour moisturisation
* Smoothing effect
* Non greasy
Well, of course I did wonder why this miracle cream was being sold at half price (£1.50!!!!!!) but I thought why not! Shove a bottle in the trolley and I'll try it out.
So did it work?
Well the first thing that I was surprised about was the gorgeous summer citrus scent. I thought to myself well if at the least it makes me smell good then it wasn't a complete waste of money. The cream itself was fairly thick and almost like a whitish gel. It massaged in like a wonder. Smooth, non-sticky and it soaked in almost straight away with no greasy aftermath which is great for me as I am so impatient and end up wiping it all off by accident. It instantly gave me a bit of a tingly sensation. I think this is due to the cooling effect and also the smell of the citrus. But as it penetrates the skin so does the caffeine that is included in the ingredients. So yes, my skin was officially on a high!
Now I don't have really dry skin, but my skin loves a bit of moisture and if done well becomes softer to the touch. Job well done by Garnier. My skin was instantly softer and I can honestly say it stayed this way all day. To the point where I was telling people at work to touch my arm to feel how smooth it was. Go on I know you want too! They thought I was mad until they realised I felt like a baby.
What this products main selling point is that it is a firming lotion. Aimed really for the legs, bum and thighs area. I must say I was pleasantly surprised at its effects. Don't expect your cellulite to vanish but it definitely firms up the skin and makes me feel less jelly like which I have yet to find from a cream. Considering how doubtful I was I am pleasantly surprised.
In term of how long the effects last, well you have to keep using it as it isn't a miracle cream. I used it for a while and once I stopped I noticed the quality and softness of my skin decreased. As soon as I used it again it perked up. My bottle lasts about 3 weeks with almost daily use on my entire body! (Well I thought I shouldn't leave anything out!). Which considering there is a fair amount of me and I am rather generous in the amount I apply on a daily basis this is rather good. However I found it worked best on perking up my bum and on my upper arms (bingo wings in other words!)
I started using 'Garnier Bodytonic Firming Lotion' when I was going to the gym last year. I would use it after a shower following a work out and steam in the sauna to finish off the gym sessions.
Garnier Bodytonic Firming Lotion comes in a bright yellow opaque bottle with a white flip-top cover.
The front of the bottle has the 'Garnier Skin Naturals' logo displayed at the top with a small section of a green leaf displayed and these are what stands out most when you see it on the shelf.
Below the logo are the words 'bodytonic' in large orange font; then 'Firming lotion', 'Moisturises and tones' in black and 'with fruit essences' in orange.
Below that are a couple of bulletin points indicating what the product does:
'Visibly firmer skin from 7 days'
It has also been '[dermatologically tested]' and this is displayed on the front of the package.
Quite a bit of information to have on the front of the bottle but it summarises the product well and gives you the information you need to make a buying decision.
The colour of the package and the front of the package give the product a fresh feeling when you first see it and it is quite appealing to the eye in my opinion.
'Garnier Bodytonic Firming Lotion' retails for around £4.50 - £5 for the 400ml bottle.
The product itself is a white opaque liquid with a smooth consistency that is easy to pour.
It has a sweet fruity zesty clean scent that is very notice-able on opening the jar.
The product contains ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Alcohol denat, Mineral Oil, Kiwi Fruit Water, Apple fruit water, Grapefruit water, fragrance, citrus grandis, citral, citronellol, limonene, linalool and others... (You can find a full list of ingredients on the back of the jar).
The main ingredients in the 'bodytonic' range are 'Citrus extract and stimulating Caffeine'. In this firming lotion, the citrus extract consists of a unique blend of fruit essences from the grapefruit, kiwi and apple fruits.
The product package claims the product is 'Designed as a revitalising cocktail for your skin, it keeps skin moisturised all day long, with a firming action every time you use it. It has uplifting citrus fragrance and its non-freasy gel-creme texture has an immediate tonign effect. Tests prove, from just seven days, skin appears transformed: visibly firmer, noticeably more supple'
So does it? I'd say 'yes it does...' I used this in combination with the cellulite rollerball in the same range for the stubborn areas and I could feel a difference.
It also leaves the skin smooth and soft (smoothing properties are from the fruit extracts) and feels very clean and refreshed with no grease left behind after application, the scent lingers on the skin long after application too..
I use it mostly while I am working out and that's when I feel the difference more. I'd recommend..

This lotion was bought to deal with what was for me a very embarrassing problem. I'm only 25 but after recently losing a lot of weight due to illness I've ended up with a few small areas of slack skin that just look awful, particularly at the top of my breasts as that's where most of the weight has come off and I started to feel really down about it as to me I just looked like an old woman. So the fiancé, lovely as he is, went out and bought me this to 'cheer me up' (which roughly translated means to shut me up!). It cost him £1.97 in Bodycare for a 250ml bottle.
The lotion comes in a bright yellow bottle, and unlike the picture above, mine is in a pump- action bottle. The applicator dispenses a nice amount with each pump and I find that 1 pump is enough to cover a fairly large area, for instance I can easily cover the whole of my torso (I'm a size 8) with this amount. The action of the dispenser is smooth making it easy to use, and I don't find it gets stuck like many of these types of applicator can.
Garnier say that this lotion is designed as an 'energy cocktail' for your skin, to keep it moisturised all day long, firming every time you use it. It has an uplifting citrus fragrance and a non-greasy gel-cream texture to give an immediate toning effect. According to the blurb tests have proven that after just 7 days, skin will appear visibly firmer and noticeably more supple. This all sounds great, but I'm always very sceptical of such claims, so it was definitely a case of I'll believe it when I see it......
The lotion itself is a very light gel texture which is easy to smooth over the skin, making a little go a long way, and it absorbs really quickly and easily into the skin, leaving behind absolutely no stickiness, tackiness or heavy feeling on the skin. It smells fresh and light and leaves the skin delicately scented all day. The skin is left feeling fresh and moisturised immediately after application, but I can't say I notice any immediate toning effect as mentioned in the blurb. The skin does feel well moisturised all day and I don't feel the need to reapply or use another lotion on my normally fairly dry skin.
After 7 days of daily use, my skin was looking a little better, but I wouldn't necessarily use the words toned or firmed. I would just say it looked a little healthier as a result of being moisturised daily. It did feel smoother and softer, but the skin didn't look any more youthful, which is what I was hoping for (but not actually expecting!).
I've now been using the lotion for about a month and I can finally say that it has made a visible difference to my skin. The results haven't been amazing, but where before I had skin which would be more fitting for a 40 year old, it is now looking a little firmer and more toned. It seems to have slightly plumped up the skin to stop it looking so slack and saggy, and has definitely given it back some firmness and it is now looking more toned. I'm now hoping that the results will improve further if I carry on using it. I know it's not going to be a miracle solution to my problem, but any improvement is better than none!
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this lotion. I was very sceptical of its abilities to make my skin firmer and more toned, and whilst it hasn't made an amazing difference, the difference is definitely there to see. The bottle has lasted me a month using it daily on the whole of my torso, and I'm just coming to the end of the bottle now, so it's definitely good value for money in my opinion.
Cellulite! not a lot admit they have but I think most women do.
I have tried a lot of products for my cellulite (its not really bad but its definitely there) It doesn't bother me most of the time but when your going on holiday you wanna look perfect in a bikini and its my orange peel that lets me down!
Most expensive product I tried: Loreal perfect slim, when it first came out there were rave reviews but at around £12.99 it wasn't cheap but I bought it and tried it for 4 weeks...and nothing! skin was nicely moisturised but no sign of cellulite reduction!!
I body brush too and this does seem to help but not a lot.
So now a combine this cream with body brushing, I body brush before I get in the bath to get my circulation going and then apply this cream when I'm dry.
I feel it works better when you massage it in rather than just smoothing it on. Within a week you really can notice a difference which is very quick, it claims on the back of the bottle there'll be a visible difference in 7 days but I didn't believe it!
The cream itself is very sticky and doesn't feel like it soaks in well but I don't mind as long as it works really. It has a lovely smel which I think comes from the fruit essences it contains.
The Magic Ingredients: "A unique blend of fruit essences:kiwi, apple and grapefruit" which are apparently known for their smoothing properties, It also contains caffeine which is a natural stimulant to get the blood pumping and circulation improved.
The Cost: actually really cheap for a cellulite cream. £3.99 for 250ml or £5.99 for 500ml at Boots.
So as I find quite often its the products with natural ingredients that seem to work very well. Makes you wonder if you'd get the same effect from rubbing kiwi, apple, grapefruit and coffee on your legs??
Products that require multiple applications over time to achieve the desired effect have to be good to get me to use them. I find that there's nothing more disheartening than religiously applying a cream, lotion or potion over a period of time only to realize that, in fact, it's having no (or worse, a negative) effect. The product in question needs to be simple to use and needs to smell great without interfering with whatever other scent or products I chose to apply - no one wants to smell exactly the same day after day for a period of weeks!
There's a plethora of products on the market that claim to firm skin and, at a time of year when you might just need a bit of extra help to look good in that cossie, I'm sure many of the female of the species have looked for a solution. Well, I have found something that might just do the trick.
Garnier's bodytonic is available from most major toiletry retailers and, priced at around £5-6 for a 400ml bottle, is a compelling player in the market for firming lotions.
The bottle states that the product 'moisturises and tones', is 'instantly absorbed' and gives 'visibly firmer skin from 7 days'. For once, the manufacturer's claims might not be as far fetched as I've come to believe.
Although not specifically a cellulite reducing product it certainly works well to iron out those little niggly bumpy and slack patches that we all seem prone to although friends have commented that it's not so successful on fully fledged orange-peel skin. Thankfully I can't comment on this! If, however, this is your complaint Garnier do a roll-on cellulite product which, if this is anything to go by, will be good!
On flipping the lid one is greeted with a wonderful aroma of Sicillian lemons! If you're not yet in that summer holiday mood one sniff of this and you'll be transported to sunny Mediterranean climes!
Dispense a little of the white almost gel-like substance into the palm of your hand and rub into the skin. Assuming that you don't use too much, and I've found that a 10p-sized blob is enough for the backs of the upper thighs, the gel will rub in and be completely absorbed leaving no stickiness or residue at all. The gel produces a slight cooling feeling (which is certainly welcome on sticky summer evenings!) and that lemon smell lingers slightly on the skin.
What is very pleasing is that the gel feels really great on application. It's less "wet" than a cream such as Johnsons' self-tan cream but not as sticky as a true gel such as Boots Cellulite gel (which ust doesn't work at all!). If I had to compare it to something to match the feel on application I'd go for a good quality pure aloe vera gel (but not a cheap one like Banana Boat).
The scent of the gel lingers slightly but doesn't get in the way of other fragrances. I can't really detect the kiwi or apple essences but the grapefruit is detectable (and possibly explains some of the cooling feeling).
SO, HOW QUICK IS IT?
Well, I didn't notice much of a difference in the first couple of days, save that my skin felt more hydrated. However, after 3 days I really could see a bit of a difference on my thighs. My skin looked smoother and felt so much better.
At this stage I decided to try a little of the cream on my tummy area which, post-birth doesn't have quite the same tonal qualities as it used to (although it's not so bad that I won't wear a bikini!). Again after about 4 days this time I really did start to feel great about my body. My skin was much firmer and just looked good.
After a week of daily application my husband noticed the difference and commented, most unexpectedly, one evening! I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or whether I think that it must have been worse than I thought before application!
After a weeks continuous use I decided to drop down to once every 2-3 days and I'm pleased to report that this seems to be often enough to keep on top of the slack!
HOW LONG WILL A BOTTLE LAST?
Used on thighs and tummy I'd guestimate that a bottle will last about 6-8 weeks and so I consider it very good value for money. At the end of the day, if it works, using it just during the summer months will give you a confidence that we all crave!
THE BOTTOM LINE
Well, I don't mind showing you my bottom now! This is one purchase that I'm glad I made. After disappointing results with Boots products that claimed more this product smells better and produces better results.
I'll probably stop using it over the winter months (unless my son decides that he wants to keep swimming) but it will definitely be in my shopping basket again next spring!
Well I've been using it for one month now (2nd bottle already) and guess what?
My boobs got bigger and I changed from B to C!
Yeah you read right. Lol.
Maybe its due to some massage techniques I've been doing on my breasts since a week ago, and coupled with Garnier Tonic (one of the main ingredients is caffeine which proved to enhance breasts in transexuals, likewise contained in Benefil Breast Cream), my breasts are now firmer and one size bigger. Haha! No any breast cream!
I'm so glad, though I'm also a bit worried coz caffeine also used to reduce cellulite i.e emulsify fat i.e breast tissue? I'm lost here.
But I'm definitely continuing with my daily regimen, use Garnier Body Toning Lotion plus massaging my boobs. Maybe I'd change to cup D after this? Lol.
But apart from that boobs issue (pardon me), this tonic does really have nice citrus fruity, refreshing smell which is quite different than other brands on market. It's not overpowering though - just light and pleasant (unlike Nivea Intensive Moisture body milk which gives me headache). Come to think of it, it was actually the reason I bought the first bottle. Compared with the other 2 lines of Garnier Skin Naturals (Cocoon and Repair), I like this smell most.
Regarding consistency, it's not very thick which makes application easier than other brands. Smooth, and it quickly dried up i.e absorbed so I don't have to worry abt wiping it off with my clothes afterward. However, the first few minutes after application you hands will feel kinda sticky and strangely slippy (I have trouble opening my lipstick tube straight after that) but once it dries off ur hands will feel smooth.
I've just bought Garnier AntiCellulite Roller today for my bottom. It is also easily absorbed and feels light, I begin to like it already. Maybe I'll post the review in one month time... :-D

It is presented in a large bright yellow oval shaped bottle, which is a really cheerful, sunny colour. To the centre of the bottle the word Garnier is written in gold lettering with a leaf to the the top. It has a white flip-up lid, to the squeezable bottle, and it states it contains fruit essences. I have used a number of anti-cellulite products in the past to tackle the cellulite in my thighs, but I found that Garnier's body tonic has been the most effective for me.
The box says that you will notice a difference in the tone and texture of your skin within 8 days, but there were noticeable effects after using it for 5 days.
The product was easily absorbed, non-sticky and didn't leave any residue. The scent wasn't bad. The roller ball applicator ensured the product was spread evenly over your skin without any mess (a problem I found with other products).
The only drawback: It runs out too quickly, after 10 days bottle was already half empty.
Garnier are a French-based multinational company with a large share in the UK high street beauty product market, as well as shampoo and hair colourant products. They seem to launch new skin, face and hair products several times a year, maybe as this is a saturated market where competition for the latest 'skin technology' or wonder ingredient is fierce. Last year it was a day cream with a fruit component, this year it is body cocoon.
It comes in an eye catching plastic orange bottle with a pump dispenser, which actually is quite easy to manipulate. It is described as an 'ultra nourishing cream-milk with micro-fruit oils' and shea butter for extra dry skin. Shea butter is a well known emollient and a natural product, but I remained non the wiser as the precise formulation of micro-oils even after reading the instructions.
I have to declare personal experience here I once attended a consumer panel group to discuss a new Garnier product. The facilitator laid out what seemed like a ranges of dozens pots of different creams in front of us in a tempting array, but never even gave us a sample at the end! They also have an advert currently running on the television aimed at selling face cream to teenagers, and I have reservations about young people being persuaded to spend quite a lot of money on something as unnecessary as that.
However, this is a modestly priced addition to the supermarket shelves and after a bath, I found it quite pleasant to use on my skin. it was absorbed easily, not too greasy and had a pleasant odour.
