Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion

This was the second gradual tan product I tried, after the Boots one did not make the slightest bit of difference to my colour. This one is more expensive at around £5 - £6 for a 250ml bottle depending on where you get it from, but believe me it's worth paying the extra. This one apparently comes in either light or deep, but I couldn't find anywhere on the bottle that told you what shade it is. It does seem these days that the market is awash with gradual tan products, each of them boasting a natural, streak-free tan with the added benefit of moisturised skin. And to be honest, not all of them make the mark. I've tried a few. The "original" gradual tanner was Johnson's which to be honest, smelt pretty bad - I always thought a bit like biscuits - and streaked down my legs. I have tried lots of these moisturisers, they all have the promise of lovely, summery skin but I have yet to find one that lives up to its claims. This one is close but it just doesnt quite cut the mustard with me. Good Bits: Smells nice, smooth texture, easy to apply, dries quickly, does not stain sheets, not expensive. It does moisturise the skin, I felt silky smooth so that is a great bonus Bad Bits: Doest give much colour no matter how many times you apply it. I'm naturally quite pale and although I do tan easily I seem to remain quite pale for the majority of the year due to the lack of British sunshine. I used to use the sun bed quite frequently but have stopped going over the past couple of years due to the harmful effects to my body and have instead opted for the somewhat safer fake tanning option. I think everyone looks better with a tan and therefore I try to keep up a mild golden glow all year round... or whenever I can be bothered fake tanning! Generally speaking, I'm not bothered if I have a tan or not. However, if go out in the evening and I feel like putting a skirt on, I don't want to scare anyone with my near translucent legs, so a bit of a healthy tan is definitely called for! I have tried various bottles of actual fake tan - ie, not one which is mostly moisturiser, but I have never been successful in applying it and I always end up with streaky marks and my clothes and sheets get covered in stains.
