Being a fair skinned red head it is nigh on impossible to get a natural tan, I tend to go a bit pink and then lilly white again. As such I spend every summer trying to get that illusive golden tan out of a bottle. I have tried loads of different false tans but have never found one that suits. The latest I have tried is Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion which was on but one get one free at Morissons for £5.

Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion is not just a false tan. It is a moisturiser that gradually builds up sun kissed natural tan as you use it.

I have to say this is the best moisturiser/false tan that I have tried. The moisturiser is very light and has a lovely apricot scent. I found the moisturiser left my skin feeling very soft. The best bit about the moisturiser is that it is very easy to apply. When I have used false tan in the past I have found it really difficult to achieve a streak free tan but with this I found I could be quite slap dash and still achieve an even finish.

I was also very happy with the colour result which I felt looked very natural. As I have typically fair red head skin it is difficult to find a false tan that looks natural and not too orange. I found that one application was enough to leave my skin with just the right amount of colour. I personally found that one application last through a couple of showers so I only reapply a couple of times a week. If you want a deeper colour you will need to use more frequently.

The only downside I found with the product was that it left my skin feeling quite clammy for about an hour after application - I was worried that this would mean there would be stains on my clothes and sheets but that was not the case.

This is the best false tan I have tried and will definitely continue to use it.
