Advantages: cheap, smooth, no rash
Disadvantages: the colour maybe
If only I had known about this shaving gel, I could have saved myself all the embarrassment of razor rash. I actually had to visit my GP and get cortisone cream to clear up the spots. I couldn’t wear a swimming costume, or attempt anything that might reveal those tender, upper leg areas. What a disaster. However, I have found a product that solves that problem. Gillette for Women Silk, in the melon fragrance is the best shaving gel I have ever used. A little goes a long way and your skin actually feels as though it has a protective coating as you shave. The can is light green and the gel is the same colour as it comes out. Give it a shake before you compress the top. A gentle lathering brings make it’s all thick and frothy and the perfume makes the whole operation a pleasure. You can use this product on area that you might want to shave, so there’s no need to buy separate ones for different areas. There isn’t much by way of instructions on the back of the can. The manufacturers assume that you know how to shave! For best results I have found that a blob of gel the size of a marble is enough for each leg. Make sure you have a sharp razor, as you will never get a good shape if the blade is blunt. You simply lather up by gently rubbing your legs and then shave off the unwanted hair by pulling the razor in the same direction as the hair grows. The blade just glides with this product. The residue rinses off really easily and leaves your skin soft and fragrant. It really feels quite sensual. It’s just like stroking a peach skin. There is no shaving rash, no irritation and no nicking or cutting, just a smooth shave every time. Go on, rub your legs with melon and feel the difference!
