Advantages: Good quality and close shave for legs.
Disadvantages: Does not out peform other products and large head is not very flaxible.
I have always used Venus razors as they give a very close shave and are gentle on the skin. Not long ago Venus razors were on offer in many shops whereby you get a pack of free razor heads with a razor. I saw this as an opportunity to try Venus' new razor Embrace.
**Price**
I bought the special offer pack for around £8, however this offer has ended. The razor alone usually retails at around £6.99 although Sainsbury's currently have a 50% off offer. The replacement blade usually cost about the same as the razor. It may seem a bit expensive but like I said Venus razors have never let me down before.
**The Product**
The Venus Embrace razor has a pale green handle made of plastic which has a nice texture and is shaped. You can really feel the quality. The head is quite large as it has five blades and two soft moisturized pads either side to ensure your skin is left feeling smooth. It comes with a plastic case that can store spare razor heads and means that you can hang your razor in the shower.
**The Performance**
With this razor having the most blades of any of the Venus razors I had high hopes that this razor would give an amazingly close shave that lasts, however I felt somewhat disappointed. Don't get me wrong it works alright but it does not out perform any of the other Venus razors. Still a close shave but I feel I get a better result from Venus Vibrance. Also because the head of the razor is a lot larger it is less flexible and is ineffective for areas such as under the arm. So unfortunately I felt that Venus Embrace did not live up to its promise.
Summary: Nothing special and a bit clumsy.
