Advantages: Close shave, that moisturises your legs and leave a smooth finish
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive option, not as good as the newer versions
I started using Venus blades when they first came out and really noticed the difference between them and a normal disposable blade.
When you first buy the razor it comes in a pack with the handle, 2 blades and a case for storing the razor and the spare blades inside. This is £5.96 from Boots. You then buy further spare blades seperately which is the product featured here which cost approx £10.00 for 8 blades.
The case has an optional sticky hook included so that you can hang it as a store for the razor in the shower. This is a great idea and makes your razor and spare blades handy, however, the case isn't that easy to clean and gets bit grotty and needs replacing after a while.
The razor blades themselves have a three blades, which mean that you recieve a really close shave and they get all of the hairs. The shaver also has a swivel head, which means that it's great for curves on girls legs and all those hard to reach places. They also have a moisturising blue strip that stops you getting nasty shaving rash.
Since, then they have introduced several different versions and although I really like these blades I don't think they are as good as the newer Venus Devine, which has a much more moistuiring strip. The Devine blades are around £12.99 from Boots, so they are slightly more expensive.
Overall I would say that these are a great blade to use if you have sensitive skin, or shave your legs regularly and need something that is going to care for your skin, but they are a fairly expensive option.
Summary: A good buy if you shave regularly
