Advantages: Provides a very close shave, no cuts, leaves skin soft and smooth

Disadvantages: Quite expensive.

This razor is around £6, and has two cartridges with it (i.e. two razor heads). The cartridges are available separately in boxes of 4 (for around £7). This does seem slightly expensive, especially compared to disposable razors.

The packaging is attractive, on both the razor and the cartridges. The packaging on the razor is a patterned blue cardboard backing, with clear plastic attached that holds the razor's box in place. In the middle of the clear plastic is the Venus logo in white. The cartridges, when bought separately, come in a small cardboard box, aqua blue in colour, and the Venus logo, in white, central on the box. There is also a picture of the razor. This packaging is eye-catching and does draw you to the product.

The razor itself is blue, and has rubber on the underside to add grip. The razor is comfortable to hold. It is also simple to change the cartridges, as they just clip on. Each cartridge can be used a few times before it gets blunt, so you don't have to change it too often.

Each cartridge has three blades, surrounded by "soft protective cushions". There is also an "indicative strip" which fades to tell you when you should change the cartridge. This strip also contains aloe and vitamin E, which I find makes my skin very soft after shaving. These razors are the best I have used, definitely far better than any disposable razor, and provide the closest shave. I have also never got cut whilst using these razors, which has to be a good thing!

I would recommend these razors as they provide a very close shave, leaving your skin soft and smooth. Although they are quite expensive, each cartridge lasts a while as you can use them more than once.

Summary: A close shave but at quite a high price.
