Advantages: light, no nicks, smooth

The first thing I noticed about this razor was how light it was. It really did glide across my skin effortlessly. Previously I had always sworn by Gilette Sensor Excel for Women and thought things couldn't get better. But after trying Venus for the first time I realised just how heavy and awkward the Sensor Excel can be.
Admittedly Venus initially didn't appeal to me - mainly due to the price (£5.99) but what really impressed me was the fact that the replacement heads are individually packed. This may seem wasteful in terms of packaging but it keeps the blades clean and rust-free and I believe that we can't be too wasteful when it comes to hygiene and safety. In my job I travel often and I always ended up buying new razors at my destination as my Sensor Excel didn't travel so well. This week I am putting Venus to the travel test.
I have found the Venus razor to give a closer, smoother shave and, most importantly, no nicks!
