Advantages: Easy to use, Good Results, Different colours available
Disadvantages: Replacement heads expensive, Goes mouldy if left in bathroom too long
I have had my Gillette Venus for a couple of years now, well Im on my second one as I buy a new razor every summer. PRODUCT The Gillette Venus is a triple blade razor designed for women. It has a nice curvy shape that is easy to hold and a lot less bulky than previous gillette women razors. It originally came in blue and white (my first razor of this kind) then in a clear crystal design with sparkly bits in (my current razor of this kind) It has a holder that can be wall mounted with the sticky bits or just laid down. Note: do not stick on the wall then change your mind as the pads only stick ONCE. PRICE This razor is around £5 to buy, even when shopping around the price does not vary greatly. This is around the average price for a decent razor, and I was prepared to spend this for a razor that would last me a year. The only thing I do not like is that it costs £5 for a replacement heads pack of 4 which is expensive. I tend to find them cheaper in superdrug or wilkinsons rather than in boots where they are the dearest. USING For the last two years I have had no problems with this razor, the replacement heads do last quite a long time and there is a blue strip to let you know when it is beginning to run out, although if you shave often like me you can tell by how well it shaves. So far I have rarely suffered nicks or cuts and my legs have remained soft and smooth (well for a day or so). The razor comes in a handy holder which fits in the shower stall brilliantly. The spare blades are in a waterproof packet so that they don't go blunt with the water. The triple blade is amazing for those rush jobs. WHERE TO PURCHASE FROM This is quite a popular product and you can find it in Boots, Superdrug, Wilkinsons, Supermarkets and online product stores. I have always seen these around in the above places with no problems. WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR? This razor is designed for wome
ns curves so wouldn't be suitable for you men but Gilette do a Mach 3 version which is almost identical but packaged a bit more manly. I would say it is suitable for any woman, even if it was only for emergencies but I find it the cheapest and easiest method of removing hair - I mean waxing/sugaring/electrolysis is painful, hair removal creams are expensive over time, therefore shaving may be a pain in the bum to do every day, but with its triple blades you can do the job really quickly. OVERALL I really like this razor. It has always removed the hair on my legs, etc... really well. It is easy to use and cheap. I would definately recommend it to anyone who shaves. And look ladies, using a nasty old bic is only going to scar your legs for life, so get yourself a nice razor!!
