Advantages: No more nicks and cuts, Smooth finish
Disadvantages: Quite expensive compared to disposables
My first experience of shaving my legs was not a nice memory. My mum had told me not to shave as I would regret it, but as usual I knew better. I was having a bath and decided to borrow her cheap disposable razor, and proceeded to take the skin (and some flesh) off my leg from ankle to knee! I steered clear of razors pretty much since then (I was not like a werewolf though..I just waxed!), but when I had my daughter I found that time and money would not permit me to have my bits waxed, and then I discovered this product, and since then I have been silky smooth, and hair free, which anyone with dark hair will agree is a nightmare task as a lot of razors shave the hairs but then still make your legs look bumpy and stubbly...or maybe that was just me. I bought the razor from my local Boots for 4.89, and it came in a pack with a plastic storage casem, which comes complete with 3 spare blades, which are stored in water tight packs to make sure they stay in good condition until you need to use them, and they clip in and out of the main unit very easily. As well as having the 3 blades (which all cut progressively lower along the shaft of the hair) and the cushioned section, the head of the razor has a blue strip running across the top which indicates when the blade needs to be changed, although personally twice is my limit. This strip is also an aloe and Vitamin E moisturising strip. The razor is a bold turquoise colour with white and blue blades. The handle itself is pretty chunky and this makes it comfortable to hold, no matter which angle you have it at, and as the head is not totally static, the movement makes areas such as the knees much easier, and there are less chances of leaving yourself with unsightly nicks as the pivot allows the razor to control the amount of pressure on the skin. This razor certainly ranks alongside my husband's Mach 3 in terms of performance. I have used this razor for 18 months now, and have never had a cut or nick, and
always gets the closest finish, and when I have spoken to friends, they think that it is nigh on impossible to cut yourself with this razor as the design is so good. On the bikini line in particular, the razor is so good that you only need to shave the area once, which minimises the irritation. A tip for you all. If you want to get the maximum performance from your razor then do not wipe it with a towel or tissue when finished shaving as this will cause razor damage, instead, just rinse and leave to air dry. I buy the replacement blades in packs of 4 for 5.49, so whilst the cost is sustantially more than the cheap disposables on offer, this is certainly a case of you get what you pay for, and I highly recommend it.
