Advantages: flexible head, comes in different colours, hair goes away for about half a week

Disadvantages: blades can be sharp and cut

The Gillette Venus razor must be an object in every household unless there are women free houses. I don't know one person who doesn't use this razor, they used to have another razor for women which was flat and a bit more fiddley but when the Venus advert was shown all women became curious. There is now a lovely even more girlie colour of razor to make things more fun a nice hot pink shade, more feminine but I have not had the chance to buy it yet.

The adverts for the razor are always catchy with the song 'I'm your venus, I'm your fire, your desire.' This instantly attracted people to turn to the TV when they first heard it and like most women do they think something new I must try it so I did this and they got one new buyer. When I first bought the razor I didn't buy it separatel, I got it in a gift pack. I got shaving gel, the razor and a puff.

This gift I got was very nice and you don't have to use the Gillette shaving gel with the razor but they are nice. So the razor I got was an aqua blue and it came with the case to hang up on the bathroom wall. The case is stuck onto the wall and onto a white part it cliks on so it doesn't ever fall. The case might but the white part shouldn't. The razor then clips onto the case keeping everything neat and together.

Inside the case you can store the blades for the razor. They don't go blunt easily but if they do you can buy them in packs of 4 costing £6 but they should last a while depending how many use them. They are quite sharp and when new take hair away with one glide over the area where hair is to be removed. It should come off and if it doesn't then do it once more but if you have to do this several times then you should consider changing the blade.

Blades are easy to change the new blade is in a little plastic box, just peel back the lid and the new clean blade can be stuck on. At the top of the razor there is a darker blue part whi

ch sticks out you just push it up towards the blade and it falls out leaving it free for a new blade to be attached. It is all made less complicated and easier if you are in a hurry.

The razor is made in a curved way and is made of plastic but under the section where you hold it there is rubber with grips making it easier to hold giving an easier way of holding to get a tight grasp so it won't fall out of your hand. It is all thought out well, even razors have to have a lot of thought put into them to be bigger sellers.

There is a blue moisture strip above the blades to moisture skin but also when using it to stop you cutting yourself. I have never ever cut myself with this so it has worked. This razor costs £5.99 like the razors but it should last for a long time unless you want to buy the newest colours etc.

A great razor which has caused me no problems. The head of the razor can tolt back and is flexible so that if you want to shave under arm areas it is a lot easier to do so. This is definitely a big seller. The best razor for women out there and also affordable, it is a necessity unless you wax instead or use hair removal cream. You have to use a razor more often and it stays away for about 3 days depending on your personal hair growth rate.

Waxing is more painful and expensie if you get it done but it does keep away longer so that is more appropriate before holidays. Hair removal creams don't guarantee every hair to stay off and are probably the worst to use because they take up a lot of time.

Anyway, thanks for reading sorry if I have bored you with my hair reomval review but hopefully you have learned something.

*******UPDATE*********
I was out shopping and noticed I had put the price down wrong, the razor only costs £4.98.

I do not shave my legs but if I did I might use this as I found the opinion very useful

This is the razor I use, and definitely the best I've tried. Mind you, I have somehow managed to nick my skin with it on a few occasions, despite everyone else saying that this hasn't happened to them. Could be something to do with the fact that I'm terribly accident-prone, though.
