The price of being a 'goddess' (Gillette Venus)

I used to use the gillette sensor excel before trying the new venus razor from gillette. Venus definetly gives a better shave. It just glides over the legs, leaving the legs smooth and no cuts! It also is a better design..pretty colours and good grip handle, very light and easy to use.
The actual razor is only a bit more expensive than sensor excel razor, the price is roughly 5 pounds. The only problem i find with the venus is the blades. This is definetly where gillette makes most of their profits. I find that a blade needs replacing after only about 4-5 shaves, whereas the sensor blades needed replaing after 3-4 blades.
The price of blades are ridiculous, nearly a pound each! Its possible to use alternative cheaper brands which still work on the razor, which also goes for shaving foam. But i still use the venus, despite it being a bit pricey, for the great result. But i guess this is the price to pay to be a 'goddess'!
