Advantages: It smells nice, The smell lasts, It does what it's meant to

Disadvantages: It's not nice to eat!

The Gillette company is now over one hundred years old and has a reputation as the producer of high quality male grooming products. The Wild Rain Shower Gel is one such example of the superior quality of Gillette products. It comes in a weirdly shaped 250ml bottle and is a grotesque turquoise colour but it’s absolutely marvellous. Why it’s called Wild rain is anybody’s guess but it’s a fabulous product.

Don’t be put off by the dodgy bottle. It’s pretty much a rectangular shape, the body of which is silver and the little livery is green (it differs with each ‘flavour’). The top half of the bottle is taken up by a moveable shower hook meaning that you can hang it almost anywhere. The bottle also has a number of ridges running down the sides to make it nice and easy to hold onto whilst all wet – super smashing great! Contrary to what andycharger said my bottle doesn’t leak which is also pretty good as most other products leave a dodgy mess.

The little blurb on the back says that its ‘non-soap formula cleans and moisturises to leave your skin soft and comfortable’ and I can’t really add too much to that. I’ve used plenty of shower gel products (I’m one of these Alex off BB3 types who is heavily into smelling and feeling clean) in my time and it really does work. Unlike some cheapo products it definitely does get rid of all the nasty dirt, and leaves your skin feeling soft. I’ll leave it at that in case I’m beginning to sound like a pansy.

Now the fragrance is anything but pansy-like. I cant’ put into words what it actually smells like but it definitely a manly smell. All the girls I have met since switching to Gillette comment on how different from the Lynx products I used before. Because it smells so manly it makes you feel manly and pulling rates have definitely increased trough increased confidence! (Maybe I’m tak
ing this a bit far now). The gel keeps you feeling fresh and clean for a couple of days but it also retains its fragrance, keeping you smelling great for at least 24hours!

I’ve not had any problems with it causing rashes or anything but I never usually have problems anyway, if you allergic to certain chemicals then have a look on the back of the bottle before you buy. The price isn’t horrendous either. It costs me £1.99 for a bottle from my local ‘Savers’ store though otherwise it is likely to set you back around £2.50.

Wild Rain shower gel is super, smashing, great and I suggest that you buy some right now!!!!!!!!!

Good op, but when reading it (especially the manly bit) I kept thinking of Rocky II (the film) where he is doing the caveman advert for aftershave 'It..urh..makes you smeeeel really mainly'

ahem
