      A nice body butter.

I'm definetly a body butter addict and love trying new flavours (well, scents, but you know what I mean!) so when I saw this I had to try it. It is the Vanilla and Ice Cream scented one which sounds gorgeous and it smells equally as nice! I got mine from Superdrug around 6 months ago now, I got mine on offer - 2 pots for £3, however if you only want to buy one pot, then it's £1.99 which compared to alot of other body butters is dirt cheap and the quality is great - don't be put off because of the price, I assure you it isn't cheap and nasty! There are also other 'flavours' available in the I love range including papaya, raspberry, strawberry, etc. The body butter comes in a basic tub. It's nothing eye catching but it's definetly not ugly either. It's basically a round pot that is made of sturdy plastic. The plastic is very sturdy and it can be recycled once you've used all of the body butter. The pot is transparent meaning that the creamy white body butter can be seen through it. I find this a plus side because I stack my body butters up on my shelf, so I can tell which one it is by looking at it from the side rather than having to go through them all and reading the labels - does that make sense!? Anyway, the tub has a black lid which simply screws off to expose the body butter. The lid has a circular cream coloured sticker on it which has the product and brand name in black font, and underneath it reads "an air of excitement and a heart warming sensation as my rich creamy aroma explodes into an irresistable sweetness of vanilla, leaving you dreaming of two scoops not one!" The body butter itself has a very creamy and luxurious appearence, however I felt let down that the tub was only just over half full! This seems to be the norm for the 'I love..' body butters, as the other tub I got (a different flavour) also wasn't full, but you do still get plenty of product considering the price. The consistency of the body butter is very thick, it's not runny at all nor is it oily/greasy/sticky - it's lovely and smooth and feels quite silky. Although it isn't greasy, it does have a sort of cold, wet feel to it (most body butters don't feel wet) but this doesn't bother me. Despite how thick this is, it doesn't feel heavy or like it's clogging up my pores and it absorbs nicely into my skin as long as a thin layer is applied - if I apply a thick layer then it usually sits there for a while/dries up, so it's important to only apply a thin layer to avoid yucky residue. I apply this by simply using my fingers, but a loofah is a nice alternative if you don't want to get it on your fingers. I scoop a generous amount out and apply it onto my body, rubbing in circular motions. I focus mainly on my torso and legs, and I don't use this on my face as it's (hence the name!) body butter, however there's nothing stopping you from using it on your face if you wish - it's gentle enough to. I've had no irritation from it at all which I was suprised by as it is quite heavily perfumed. The smell is gorgeous but it does smell a bit too sweet and a little fake. It's a very milky smell and it does linger for a few hours after application but it's not a strong enough smell to clash with perfume or body spray. I usually apply this after a bath and it absorbs into my skin and dries within 5 minutes or so. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, it also smoothens and softens my skin noticeably so it is well worth the price - in fact i'd pay more for this if the price ever went up, it's a total bargain! Reccomended.

        I love...this product!

I Love... products really intrigue me. They are really quirky and exciting and sound good enough to eat! I tried the strawberries & milkshake range a few months ago. On a recent visit to Superdrug I decided to give the Vanilla & Ice cream body butter a try mainly because I love the scent of vanilla. Packaging The body butter comes in a transparent plastic tub with a black lid. You can see the cream coloured body butter through the tub. There is a sticker on the lid of the tub with this message printed on it "An air of excitement and a heart-warming sensation as my rich creamy aroma explodes into an irresistable sweetness of vanilla, leaving you dreaming of two scoops not one!". It's little touches like these that make the I Love... products really special. I have travelled with this tub and there have been no spillages so I am quite satisfied with the packaging. The Body Butter As you twist the lid off of the tub, you are greeted by the sweet scent of vanilla. The body butter looks very creamy and luxurious. I like to just dip my fingertips into the body butter and then proceed to massage it all over my body. It isn't immediately absorbed and does sit on my skin for some time, but after an hour or so, my skin doesn't feel greasy at all-just moisturised. This does make my skin feel very soft and I don't need to use a lot of it as it is quite moisturising. I really love the creamy texture of this body butter as well. The scent is quite sweet, but not sickly and does linger on my skin for a few hours after application. Price and Availability I bought my 200 ml tub at Superdrug for £1.99, and I believe it is currently available at the same price. According to the I Love... website, (www.ilovecosmetics.eu), you can also find this at Morrisons and The co-operative. There are other products in this range as well including a shower smoothie, a bath crème and a lip balm. There are other ranges as well, like I Love... Strawberries & Milkshake and I Love...Coconut & Cream, among others. Conclusion I think £1.99 is a bargain for such a great quality product. I can find no faults with this body butter. It is rich, creamy and luxurious. It is very moisturising and smells gorgeous, and the packaging is really practical, but original. You also get a lot of the product for £1.99. I would definitely recommend this body butter. This review may appear on other sites under the same username.
