Advantages: Smells heavenly, cleanses, exfoliates.

Disadvantages: smell can be a bit too sickeningly sweet! Can leave skin dry!

I Should Coco……
------------------------
I Should Coco is a delicious smelling soap bar with a difference from those wonderful people at Lush…..if you haven’t heard of Lush before………..what planet are you on?

For the benefit of those who haven’t, Lush is a store and website who sell natural handmade beauty products which are not tested on any animals!

I have only recently discovered my nearest store and bought a few items to try! This is my latest product to test for you……the things I do for you lot “sigh”

The Look
------------
If you look at the photo above that Dooyoo has posted then it is basically exactly the same as the one I bought! It is a rectangle piece of soap, off white in colour with a pink desiccated coconut topping which is pink! It looks a bit like a piece of coconut cake and I’m not sure whether I should be eating it or rubbing it all over my skin!
The desiccated coconut is also on the bottom, but not as much and it is the usual white(ish) colour.

The Smell
------------
Well the main smell of this is the coconut…..so if this is not for you then not advised to use this soap, as it is quite a pungent aroma! This soap also has added orange oil and vetivert oil (?) but to be honest all I could smell was the coconut!

How to use?
---------------
Well as this is quite a rough feeling soap, I didn’t use this straight onto skin as I sometimes do with other softer smoother soaps. Instead I used a net scrunchy sponge, this lathered up really well and I was pleased to see that the desiccated coconut didn’t all come off but only tiny pieces of it, this also helped to exfoliate so is very useful as well as leaving skin feeling really refreshed and clean.

1 hour after using
---------------------
An hour after my bath, (which incidentally lasted about 30mins, I normally like a longer bath but the coconut smell was beginning to get a little bit sickening after a while) my skin felt quite soft and didn’t feel as if it had dried out at all, but then again it didn’t feel very moisturised either. I could also smell the coconut from my skin still!

Next morning
-----------------
As I cleaned the bath last night directly after using the soap, the smell didn’t seem to linger all night, there was a very faint whiff the next morning which was quite pleasant. I couldn’t smell it from my skin either and I also noticed no real visible difference to my skin, No drier than usual and no softer either…..I was a bit disappointed with this soap if I’m being honest.
24 hrs later
--------------
Decided to give the soap another chance tonight and it was basically the same as last night, my bar doesn’t look any smaller after using twice and looks as if it may last quite a while so at least that’s something. Skin actually feels a little bit dry tonight, so may have to go and slap on some body moisturiser!

My verdict
--------------
As a bar of soap it is quite expensive……I paid £2.95 for my bar which was about 150g or so, but the website states £1.95 for 100g! I do like the smell, but perhaps in small doses…..it does leave a fragrant aroma in your bathroom for a little while which is nice as it’s not too strong, but beware if you don’t like sweet smells as you would probably have to leave windows open all night to get rid of the smell completely.

I don’t think I will be buying this soap again as it was just too sweet for me, and didn’t really live up to my expectations, I also expected it to be a little more moisturising, but perhaps it is just not suitable for my dry skin…….The good thing about it is, the exfoliating action it provides,

I think the next time I visit Lush, I will be asking the assistant for help as to which products are more suitable for my skin type instead of just picking up things I like the look of!

I would recommend this soap for anyone with normal skin, but steer clear if you already have dry skin.

Thanks for reading!
Michelle x

Summary: A piece of coconut soap cut from a huge piece.....covered in desiccated coconut!

This is one of my favourites from Lush although I do find them a bit too coconutty lately. Vicki x
