Advantages: Smells great , leave skin feeling fab.

Disadvantages: melts away quickly, no bubble, expensive.

I seem to have developed a bit of a Lush addiction, this is something my partner is a tad anoyed about as I now have a carrier bag bursting full of it - I have tried to justify this splurge by informing him I bought alot of it on ebay and have been able to get some great sample packs with around 20g of about 25 different Lush products so i can try them all without spending too much, and of course I make 50p back by writing the review of each product. ( to be on the safe side I will not be telling him about future purchases though ! ).

I decided to try I should Coco first from my samples and here is my review of it -

The blocks of I should coco usually come with a layer or pink coconut on the top, unfortunatly my piece seems to come from the middle of the bar so I do not have that, but I have enjoyed using the soap just the same. The bar is white and to touch is one of the harder bars which Lush do - many of them are pretty soft and get indentations if you squeeze them, this one doesnt do that. This is a very dense soap and has little coconut flakes throughout it - its like the cocnut you can buy in bags to use in cakes.

Obviously this smells like coconut, however to me it also smells a little bit spicy , though that could just be from the other soaps it has been stored near ! The smell isnt overpowering like some Lush soaps, its just right.

My number 1 rule for using Lush soaps is not to take the whole bar into the bath or shower, if you do when you come out it will most likely be half the size as it melts away VERY quickly. If I have a 100g bar, I usually cut it half, then cut those bits in half and then half again so I have 8 smaller pieces, this makes it more managable and cost effective.

I should coco is sold as a soap, however it does not bubble up and can be difficult to even get a lather off it, I also find that once the soap is on your skin it disappears quite quickly, it seems to soak into your skin, which isnt great for washing, but I have found it good for shaveing and its very moisturising. I find it makes the bath water very cloudy too and leaves the bathroom with a cocnut hint. The coconut throughout the bar make it a good exfoliant, but if your in the bath you do end up with floating coconut !

Another great use for I should coco is using it on your hair after shampooing, you need to make sure you rinse well to get the coconut bits out, but it leaves my hair feeling really soft and shiney and it smells great !

It must be the lovely essential oils that make your skin feel so smoothe and soft after use !

The ingridients as advertised on the Lush website are -

Creamed Coconut Infusion (Cocos nucifera)
Propylene Glycol
Rapeseed oil
Sunflower oil
Coconut oil (Brassica napusHelianthus annuus; Cocos nucifera) , Desiccated Coconut (Cocos nucifera)
Water (Aqua)
Perfume
Sodium Stearate
Titanium Dioxide
Sodium Hydroxide
Orange Oil (Citrus Aurantium dulcis)
Coriander Oil (Coriandrum sativum)
Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides)
Sodium Chloride
Limonene
Linalool
Colour 18050

After you have used this soap, the smell lingers, again its not overpowering, but you can smell it and it lasts a good few hours.

I think this would make a good hand soap as it would keep your hands smoothe and supple and may be better advertised as an exfoliating moisturising bar rather than a soap, because I expect bubbles in my soap and this doesnt have any !

Overall this is a nice product, it leaves my skin feeling lovely and my hair too.

This is currently priced at £2.50 per 100g bar, as with all Lush products its quite expensive, I dont use Lush every day, I make sure I only use it when I have time to relax in the bath a bit and really enjoy it !

Summary: Great for dry skin !
