Ladies, I have a question. Just one question. Just one word, actually. Why? Why do you put yourselves through this kind of pain on a regular basis? No man (or woman, if you're that way inclined) is worth the kind of pain that it takes to look hair-free, and whilst I have always preferred a smoother approach to things, after experiencing the waxing process for myself, I'm inclined to say that being hairy is the way to go! You don't need to know why. You don't need to know the reasons that led to this monumental event. I could spin you a yarn about wanting to be able to write an op for Dooyoo that I would otherwise never have written, or perhaps ... Read the complete review

As a lady of "a certain age" I am able to produce a moustache to rival the one which lurks beneath the nose of Saddam Hussein. (OK, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but my top lip DOES support enough dark hair to cause embarrassment.) Sessions with a razor were always followed by rapid, stubbly re-growth. And even when using a pastel-coloured "Ladyshave" blade, the activity lent an uncomfortably MACHO feel to my morning ablutions. No ... the shaving/stubble cycle was clearly not going to provide a long-term solution; and bleaching simply rewarded me with a blonde moustache. I'd tried depilatory creams in the past, but felt alarmed ... Read the complete review

For us girlies, the quest for certain bits to become (and remain) hairless, is never-ending. I have shaved, plucked, exfoliated and deforested with the best of them! I have always avoided waxing, firstly because I have a low pain threshold and, secondly because it always seemed a bit of a hassle. It was either pay a fortune at the beauty salon, or get in a mess heating wax at home. So, when I saw that Immac had produced some Cold Wax Strips I decided this would be my ideal chance to experiment with the waxing process. DESCRIPTION********************************** A pack of Immac Cold Wax Strips contains 12 single sided wax strips and 4 ... Read the complete review

I have been watching TV a lot and like many you have probably seen a lot of Veet adverts. The woman who is always going around the UK to change Wax Virgins into Wax users. I am sick of this advert and now it has branded people like me who are wax virgins with this title. I decided that today was the day I was going to lose my virginity to Veet and so it began. I am not the bravest girl in the world and get scared when here is a slight warning on a product. I don't want to wax my legs so I decided to go for probably the most difficult place and decided to do my bikini line. I thought it sounded a bit scary and you always hear people tell you never get your ... Read the complete review

Being a man of the shaven headed variety, as well as a self confessed lazy sod; I am always looking for ways to avoid shaving my head every morning. Those 15 minutes propped up at the bathroom mirror with my trusted Philishave could surely be spent more constructively, i.e. in bed asleep. So I stumbled on the brilliant idea of waxing my head. A few minutes of applying big bits of selotape to my head and pulling them off would result in up to 4 weeks of a head as smooth as a billiard ball. This could be the answer to my hair related prayers. A trip to Tescos later I was in possession of a pack of Veet, (formerly known as Immac), “20 Quick and ... Read the complete review
