Disadvantages: the smell

I love imperial leather products and regularly buy their shower gels and handwashes and so I decided to give this one a go when it was on offer for a £1 for a 250ml bottle in ASDA, as I just love a bargain. The normal price is £1.45

The scent is called energising and it is supposed to stimulate the senses as it contains ginseng which is known to improve vitality and energy. It does have a fresh smell which is hard to explain but I would not say I feel any more energised than on any other morning when I have not used it!!, but I find it more of a manly smell, a bit like after shave and I prefer my shower gels to be more feminine and a little floral, like the japanese spa scent that imperial leather make but I will use it until the bottle has gone and then replace it with a different scented one.

You can use this for washing your hair too if desired, but I find it dries your hair, so I tend to stick with this for the body and use my normal shampoo for my hair. I do also find that when you pour some onto your hands before applying it does tend to be a bit gloopy and easily dropped into the shower. I have used it to lather my legs before shaving and it has not been too bad, it leaves my skin nice and not too dry.

I would recommend imperial leather normally but would not for this particular scent.
