I like to try out different scents every now and again and I usually keep a cheep and cheerful spray in the car for those moments when I need a bit of freshening up especially after work and in the summer. Impulse sprays have been one of my regular buys as they have a nice range of different scents for reasonable prices and are nicely packaged in a handy spray tin.

One of the latest fragrances out is Romantic Spark, which is following the recent trend in flowery like perfumes. It's advertised as having a lovely blend of wild violet and white woods which sounded fabulous.

The normal price for a 75ml tin of Impulse is around £2.19 but there are always offers on and at the moment they are on off at 2 for the price of 3 at ASDA and discounted to 0.89p in Superdrug.

Like I said before, the fragrance comes in a nice compact little tin with a built in spray top which is handy if, like me, you end up loosing the lids off these things. The spray lid is protected by a swivel section that closes over the opening so that you don't accidentally spray the contents out inside your handbag!!

You can definitely smell the violets in the fragrance and the woods give nice warm tones to it but it's not for those who don't like overly sweet fragrances as it smells a teeny bit like parma violets. I wouldn't really call it a flowery fragrance and I think it's more suited for use on a night time but I like the smell of this, It's very calming and unusual and it can make a nice change from a lot of the citrus based fragrances out there.

Being a body spray the idea is to spritz it all over on a morning onto bare skin, this works quite nicely but like most body sprays, the effects don't last as long as you'd like them too. I recon by lunchtime the scents of these sprays have almost faded into nothing. I prefer to spray the scent onto my clothes, that way I feel like the scent does last a little longer even if it isn't all day.

All in all it's not too bad a scent, I sill prefer some of the other choices in the range such as Zen so maybe I wouldn't pick this particular one again but that's the beauty of these fragrances, they're cheap and cheerful and you have plenty of options to choose from !
