Im always on the look out for an easy and pleasant body moisturiser. I like and need a body product that provides moisture, that doesn't irritate my skin as I have psoriasis, and I tend to like products that are quite rich and thick in look and texture for a touch of decadence. I bought this product from B&M for £1.49 for a 200ml tube. Why did I buy this? I know that this product or different variations tend to be a lot higher in price, so I thought it was a good buy in that respect. On the front it mentioned ' moisturising twice ', which made me think this would be a lovely thick product. Having a quick look on the back, I noticed a lot of the ingredients were clearly in English, and not some chemical complicated language, so thought that was quite promising! How is it packaged? This product comes in a 200ml tube. To open you have to flip the lid at the bottom to squeeze product out. The tube is some form of plastic, cream in colour with the ' Jergens ' logo at the top with the words ' new ' just above it and the word' natural ' just underneath. In the middle is a pink coloured leaf, with the words ' Daily Moisturising ' right next to it and what the product is underneath which is a body moisturiser with acai berry. On the back it tells you what the product is supposed to do, why its good, directions for use and ingredients list. Company contact details are included along with shelf life info when open which is 12 months. Ingredients Aqua, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycine Soja Oil,Stearic Acid, Vaccinium Macrocarpon Fruit Extract, Garcinia Mangostana Peel Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract , Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Lycium Barbarum Fruit Extract, Paullinia Cupana Seed Extract, Ribes Nigrum Fruit Extract,Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Malpighia Glabra Fruit Extract, Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cyclopentasiloxane,Polyglycerin-10, Carbomer, parrfum, DMDM Hydantoin,Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol Ethylhexylglycerin, Caramel, Butylphenyl Methylpropional,Hexyl Cinnamal,Linalool, Limonene. How to apply Use daily all over body. What does it supposed to do? Its supposed to make the look of the skin more hydrated and healthier. It should be easy to apply, quick to sink in and very smooth on the skin. It also is supposed to be quite a natural product as it states on packaging that 97%of ingredients are natural, its dermatologist tested so with those elements combined, it gives the impression of a product that should be gentle and kind to the skin. What is it like? The texture of this product is an odd one, but in a good way. Its white in colour, and when it comes out of the tube you expect a lotion but its consistency resembles more a cream, as once it comes out the packaging it looks quite firm and doesn't actually move. When you apply it to the skin though, its soft and more fluid than what it looks like so for me this is alittle like a mixture of a cream and gel. It sinks into the skin very easily and quickly, and doesn't leave the skin sticky or covered in in grease. Skin looks like there's a hint of moisture to it, but quite matt but not depleted in moisture. The smell is beautiful and subtle. A sweet floral fragrance to it which is quite uplifting, very gentle and not overpowering or strong at all. It doesn't linger on the skin, and after application you can slightly get a sense of something smelling sweet and pleasant, but you forget it's the lotion as its so soft its in the background. I love the size of this product. Despite the fact my daughter nicked it and decided to apply it all over the bathroom, and I am always very generous with how much I use on myself in regards to body/face care products, this product is still going and has a decent amount left ( over half ) despite having this now for a couple of weeks. Lastly, its not a product that has irritated my skin. I always mention this so sound like a broken record, but my psoriasis makes me a bit weary with products, especially new ones. Im not suffering from it badly at all at the moment. Just afew small areas . Despite this, product has been no issue at all. Would I buy this product again? Yes I would, especially for the price I paid as I think it was exceptional value and could quite easily be a lot more cost wise. Ive seen this online for between £4-5.00. But more importantly, this product does the job which is moisturise and keeps my skin supple and hydrated, it doesn't irritate and has some decent ingredients in there. Good buy.
