Advantages: everything- smells good, feels good, it works, u can use it anywhere, sensitive

Disadvantages: nothing

I bought this cream along with my baby lotion when they were half price at Sainsburys. My sole intention was to use this on my holidays as an after sun cream, most after suns irritate my skin and I knew this was extra gentle.

The Packaging
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This cream comes in a 100ml tube with a screw off lid; the tube stands upright on the lid.
This tube is white, there is just a bit of writing on the front along with the Johnsons branding, this is all in blue and says 'Baby moisturising cream' underneath this is the 'Clinically proven mildness' symbol; blue writing with a pink ribbon.Under this it then states the tube is 100ml, again in the same blue writing.
So the design of the tube is very simple but it does catch your eye as you recognise this classic, trusted brand and product.
The Cream
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are no instructions for use it just claims 'Gently moisturises skin leaving it perfectly baby soft, Clinically proven mild enough for use on face or all over baby skin'

So after my first day in the sun on holiday, I showered and then left my skin to dry.
I then squeezed out some of this cream from the tube; the cream is really thick and rich looking so I knew straight away it would do the trick with my sun drenched skin (I wasn't burnt but my skin felt dry like it always does after being in the sun and sea all day)
The cream smells nice, not perfumed but just the same kind of clean as the other Johnsons baby products.

Does it work?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I rubbed this gently into my skin and it instantly felt cool and soothing (and made a note to myself to put it in the fridge for the next day for even more cooling!) My skin felt really moisturised but not sticky.
The cream is thick so it does take a bit of rubbing in, so I was thinking if I was badly sunburnt it would be painful to rub in.
Unluckily the very next day I could test this theory.....
I didn't even realise how badly I'd caught the sun as there was a breeze all day so I didn't feel myself burning and yes I did wear sun cream, factor 30 and reapplied every couple of hours!!
When we got back to the apartment and I stripped off for my shower, I noticed the stinging all over the skin on my tummy and chest, now I was out of the sunlight I could see I had turned a nice shade of lobster.
I showered, as cold as I could stand it though it still stung like a bitch!!
After my shower I gingerly patted my self dry and then got the cream out of fridge and decided to brave it...I squeezed out a blob and gently patted it onto my tummy which was burnt worse than my chest, it was really cold which helped and I didn't have to rub as much as I'd expected as my skin was so frazzled it absorbed it instantly! (Not a good thing I know)
It felt lovely and cooling but I had to keep reapplying it as it sunk into my skin so quick. I did the same with my poor chest and it worked just as well.
We went for a few drinks at the complex bar once I'd found something I could wear that hardly touched my skin! Ouch! I took the tube with me in my bag and kept reapplying it in the toilets as my skin did dry out pretty quickly even though the cream was so rich.
The next morning my skin was still glowing red so I had to cover up all day :( not something I enjoy on my holidays. It didnt sting as bad though.
Oh and my skin didn't peel at all.
So yes, it does work, my sunburn was very bad and it took off that horrible stinging and also soothed my skin.
It would definitely work well as an aftersun on nicely tanned skin to stop you peeling as its lovely and rich and sinks into your skin well.
My tube was 74p, so it's about £1.50 full price. I bought 2 tubes and they lasted me for a fortnights holiday so really good value compared to After suns too.
It didn't irritate my skin at all even when it was so sore, so recommended for very sensitive skin too.
Summary: A great all round cream from Johnsons
Sounds like a good product, I have had terrible sunburn in the past and have had some ridiculous reccommendations. Nominated.
