Advantages: Good consistency of lotion that smells pleasantly relaxing & absorbs well, leaving skin soft
Disadvantages: None
I bought myself one of these body lotions because it looked appealing as I'm have trouble relaxing and sleeping lately, and at £1 whilst on special offer, it was a bargain.
Dreamy Skin is a newer range from Johnson's, a brand I trust to produce high quality smellies that are gentle to skin. The range is advertised as one to relax you, calm your senses and leave skin beautifully soft.
The Dreamy Skin body lotion is sold in a 250ml plastic bottle, which is curvy and pearly purple in colour with a lift up lid. Appearance-wise, it looks pretty and caught my eye.
On the front, it says this is an 'aromasoothe' product with moonflower, and on the back it clams to use a 'rich, velvety soft, regenerative formula with nourishing vitamins'. This formula should therefore both relax you and helps skin's renewal while you sleep'. This sounds like a good 2-in-1 benefit, but I wasn't expecting the miracle of a deep, quick slumber from it.
The lotion has a sweet but light fragrance, which is pretty without being sickly or overpowering. When applying it to your skin, the slightly off-white lotion is quite thick and yet glides over and in sinks in well.
This does have a very soft, gentle and delicate feel to it, leaving skin feeling cared for. The pretty fragrance lasts for quite a while, but it's very light and so I would say it's just right. The last thing you want when you're trying to sleep is a strong, sickly fragrance that you can't get away from!
The Dreamy Skin range is also available as a bodywash and bath bodywash, which are currently half price in Boots. Having used the body lotion, I think I shall invest in one of these too as they're pretty smelling and quite relaxing. There's also a £9.99 Dreamy Skin gift set in Lloyds which I just found when searching online, which would make a nice present J
There's nothing negative I can say about it really, except that the regular price is around £3 a bottle. That said, you don't need to use a great deal for it to glide over and cover your skin, so it should last a while.
Generally speaking, Dreamy Skin has a nice feel to it. It's pretty, feminine, calming and caring, so it's something you can use to pamper yourself with and feel indulged by. Overall, whilst this wont be a miracle cure for relaxation or sleep, it's definitely lovely to use.
Summary: An indulgent, relaxing body lotion that doesn't cost the earth - lovely! :o)
