Advantages: Gives a nice, even tan and it's super cheap

Disadvantages: Smells really awful

I'm blonde haired and very fair, and since I live in 'Bonnie' Scotland, I'm also pale. I saw Johnsons Holiday Skin advertised and when I went into my local supermarket I saw it on sale for only £4. At that price, I decided even if it didn't give me my desired tan, it was cheap enough to just discard without feeling too much regret. Although I'm pale, I got the darker shade.

I wasn't sure if I should treat it as a fake tan or as a moisturiser so that night I exfoliated and shaved anyway. I applied the lotion much like a normal moisturisers except I put some normal lotion on my knees, elbows and ankles first. It was really easy to apply and absorbed very quickly into my skin. However, I was slightly disapointed in the smell. It stank to high heaven, much like regular fake tan and the smell stays on your skin until you shower again. I love the smell of regular Johnsons Baby Lotion and I was hoping it would smell similar. I was wrong.
I applied it everywhere, except my face. I washed my hands thoroughly making sure I went in between each finger then applied lotion on my hands using the backs of them (so I don't get lotion on my hands AGAIN).

The morning after, I didn't notice any difference with the colour of my skin, but it wasn't yellowy, streaky or patchy around my knees, ankles or elbows. I continued this routine for around 5 days, skipping the exfoliating part. On day 5, I definately had a goldeny tinge to my skin. It looked very natural and I didn't look all jaffa'd out.

In general I'd recommend this product, it does what it says on the bottle and it's cheap. I have since found another product that I like better. It smells nicer and gives a deeper tan; Garnier Summer Body.

Summary: Nice cheap lotion that gives a decent tan

Im afraid im a sunbed freak. go on about four times a week and though it is bad for you, it helps my joints with having arthritis.

HOW BIZARRE. This stuff just goes brown after an hour on me and is bad for streaking if applied around fingers and webs. I adore the scent though, quite fruity. I cant imagine anyone would try this if it takes hours to tan up however.
