Advantages: cheap, no fuss, quick, pale effect of tan, not dark orange

Disadvantages: reports of a slight smell

I'm really pale skinned, but with brown-black eyes and very dark hair, so sometimes i do have a tendency to look like a goth.

I used to work in a school for kids with severe behavioural problems and during a bit of an argument over taking their hood down, one told me to shut up because i looked like "wacko jacko". As offensive as this was intially, I could see where he was coming from...

So when i get bored of "looking like wacko jacko", i use holiday skin.

This is REALLY good for pale skin, specially if you get the light/normal one. Its the only fake tanner i've found that looks remotely plausible and gives me a bit of a swarthy look. to make it even more plausible, i use it on sunny days, because people ask you "have you caught the sun?" instead of asking you if you are after jodie marsh's job.

For me, its not orangey, or streaky at all. if youre a bit nervous about it, you can dilute it with moisturiser. its also pretty no hassle; i'm fundamentally a lazy person, so the whole slopping it over the body and waiting to dry thing, doesn't do it for me. you can just put a little bit of this on at a time if youre apprehensive, and it will gradually tan. some people think one coat is enough, but with my dark colouring i can normally get away with two.

Recently, a sunday newspaper revealed this was voted "best fake tanner" by a poll of readers, so it is quite popular.

the only downside about this product is that a lot of people think it can smell a little bit afterwards. i'm not sure about this, but i won't totally disregard that point in this review. but it's only about £4 a pop, so what have you to lose?

Except..um..£4...?

I'll get me coat...

Summary: give it a go, many really like it.
