Advantages: Quick working, healthy looking tan

Disadvantages: Smell, orange patches on elbows, knees and ankles

I have tried numerous differnt kinds of fake tan over the past years but have never been able to find one that does not go strekey, until now.

I have Olive skin and when I sit out in the sun I tan very easily and quickly.
As I work full time and do not have the money to go on holiday I thought I would try a healthier way of tanning other than the sunbeds.

I have always bought the products that have been on special offer and Johnson's has always been very expensive so I never bought it. One day it was on special in Superdrug so I though I would give it a go.

I bought the normal to dark one but it is also available in normal to fair.

I put it on after I got out the shower and got dressed straight away. I did the same the next day. The day after that I started to notice the difference but it was streakey.

I decided to leave it to dry before getting dressed and see what happened.

This was much better. However, it does seem to take quite a while to dry, I normally use this time to clean the bathrooms as I can not exactly sit down or anything.

I would say that it takes approx half an hour to dry properly.

After doing this for four days I noticed that my tan looked alot better with no streaks.

There are a couple of problems with this though and they are:
1) The smell- If you have ever played with play-dough before you will know that it is not exactly a nice smell, this is what the smell reminds me of. The bottle does state that it is now an improved smell (I would have hated to have smelt it before)

2) Get darker patches around the elbown, knees and ankles. I know that some people may have tips to get rid of this and if you do can you let me know them please

3) Even though I was my hands thourgly after use I still get staining on my fingers which makes me look like I smoke 100 a day.

Other than this though I am impressed by this product.

I like the tan that it gives you, it is not the tango look that some fake tans give.

I paid £3.35 for my bottle but that was because it was half price at the time. I do know that some shops still have it available at a reduced price. Boots have the half price offer at the moment and it is £3.42

I would recommend this product. It says on the bottle that it takes 3-4 days for the tan to develop but I noticed it after 2 days.

Summary: Nice healthy looking tan, shame about the smell though :(
