Advantages: creates a nice subtle tan when used properly

Disadvantages: Is quite difficult to get right

Being pale on the body,I'd always wanted to have a slight tan.Tanning workshops were slightely out of my price range so I opted for a D.I.Y. treatment.

Although there were a dozen other products on the shelves, I found them too difficult for my liking so I purchased this product at an almost shameful 99p!

I had seen the advertisement for this product on TV and in magazines alike so couldn't wait to try it out.

The product was just like a typical moisturiser, gently fragranced and quite thick and the colour was white. There was no orange dye lurking in the cream. When the lotion was applied ( which,by the way, I applied to freshly, exfoliated skin ) it left no streaks-completely invisible-just like the average body moisturiser. The lotion did feel quite sticky for a good ten to fifteen minutes after applying so I made sure it didn't touch any of my clothes or bedlinen.

The first day I didn't notice any tan.I thought that to be normal. The following day... still no luck. But by the third day...I had a bit of a nasty surprise. There were strange light orange markings all over my body!I wasn't very impresed at all.

I opted out of using it again for a while. But then played around with it recently (as I hate having to just bin new items) and have found that by rubbing it into slightely damp skin ,it works best. When I say rubbing,I mean making sure its completely absorbed before moving onto the next area.

I now have a mild streak free tan which makes me feel a million dollars at a fraction of the price! But it does take quite a bit of practice .If one is willing to put the time and effort into it,then it will work.I know from experience.

Overall a great value product which does work. But not as simple to use as the advertises make it out to be.

Summary: A good value self tanning lotion but harder to use than advertised
