Good, but don't overuse! (Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion)

Advantages: Quick tan build up

This was the first type of this self tan lotion which I tried, after it being recommended by a few friends. Initally I did not like the smell, and I think this is one reason why some people like the lotion and some people dont, it is quite a strong smell. It is very easy to apply and as a moisterisor on its own it is very good and leaves your skin feeling silky soft. As it is from Johnsons you would probably expect this.

On the tanning side of the product it has positves and negatives. As I am quite pale and don't tan easily (I tend to just burn) I thought I would give it a try. Over a few days after applying the lotion I did notice that I was gradually developing a tan, much quicker than I had expected! The more frequently I applied the lotion the darker I was getting, and people were starting to notice that I had a tan, great! However after a while of applying the lotion, I started to notice that it was becoming slightly more orange, and more streaky. I also noticed that it would start to come off after I had a shower so that the towel would be left with brown marks from where it had come off. Also when it starts to come off it leaves brown bits on your skin. I have now started to use a different lotion of this kind, however if I need a quick tan in a week, then I always refer back to this lotion as if it is used on my skin type it does make me look quite tanned which I am happy with, it is when it is overused on me where problems begin. If I am planning a night out on a saturday night then this is perfect to use throughout the week leading up to Saturday night as I know on Saturday I will have a healthy looking glow!

Summary: A good lotion for a quick tan, however if used too much can look orangey and streaky!
