Working in the healthcare sector I tend to pick up every type of cold, flu and virus going. You would think over the years that my immune system would have trained itself to behave however alas this has never been the case. Coupled with this and having an extremely pale compection I always tend to look below par most of the time. I am off on my ... Read the complete review

I used Johnson's Holiday skin a few times and thought it was one of the worst self-tanners I have ever used! I bought it in superdrug as it was on special buy one get one free and I had seen a lot of adverts for it so thought id give it a go. The bottle says 24 hour moisturiasion (what an understatement!) and that it gradually builds a ... Read the complete review

Tanning - the safe way It's nearly holiday time and we all want to look healthy and have glowing skin but unfortunately there's not much scope to sunbathe here in England and sunbeds have had a lot of bad press recently and are not necessarily the best thing for you. So, how do you get that sunkissed glow without all the effort or ... Read the complete review

This is the fake tan that i would recommend to use. It is a moisturiser with a tan enhancer. It keeps skin moisturised and gradually builds up a natural looking tan. I find it easy to apply and get a streak free tan, if it is applied in circular motions and left to dry. Although i have had many friends who found that they could not use it and be ... We've been very lucky over the last week or so, the weather has been fab. A bit of sun and a tan always cheers everyone up. Unfortunately I've had one day in the sun as the rest of the time I've been stuck inside at work! This has made be feel like I've missed alot and certainly pale compared to friends who've been basking in the sun and now look ... Read the complete review

If you are equally cursed and blessed like me to be very very pale all year round then this moisturiser is something you will probably like to try. I am so white it's not funny (think the ginger one from Girls Aloud lol). I first bought a bottle of this before going on holiday to Italy a couple of years ago to try and get rid of the obvious Brit ... Read the complete review

So this summer i decided instead of going through the pain of sunbathing bcause my skin is so fair I just burn unless I wear factor 20 so to save myself the time and effort I thought I would use one of those moisturisers with a 'hint' of fake tan. I went to Boots and saw about a million different brands so I decided to go for johnstone's because ... Read the complete review

The suns shining outside and it's sunbathing time for most people but unfortunately me + lying in the sun doesn't do anything for my really pale skin, i.e. I end up looking like a lobster! The only way I can get a good tan is either building it up gradually (and there's not much chance with the amount of sunshine we get here!) or getting it out of ... Read the complete review

I picked up this product last year whilst shopping in tescos as it came as a recommendation for several friends. I was desperate for a tan, being very pale, but was reluctant to visit the sunbed as many times as would be needed to build a reasonable summer glow. I was far too scared of main stream self tan as it seemed a big commitment for a few ... Read the complete review

A couple of months ago I bought Johnson's Holiday Skin Body Lotion (firming). It was the first time I have tried the newer versions of Johnson's Holiday Skin. I do not believe the firming aspect of the product lived up to its name as after daily applications I noticed no difference in the firmness of my skin (perhaps I was doing something wrong ... I have been using this product for a few years now as a top up to a natural tan after holidays or a top up to a full strength tanning lotion. It is primarily a moisturiser with a hint of self tan. If you are looking for just a slight hint of colour then this is perfect. I personally prefer a darker, deeper tan and for that reason it is not ... Read the complete review

I'm going to start this review off by stating that i personally have never and would enver use a sunbed. I believe that its too much harm to the skin, and needs to be done quite regularly. I can also state that i believe spray tans are pointless, i've had two, one went orange the other lasted a day. With this in mind i decided to give the tinted ... Read the complete review

It's that time of year again - the sun has been shining (although it's disappeared again as I write this), there's the promise of a long hot summer ahead according to the weather forecasters, and I'm getting in the usual panic about the prospect of getting my legs out. The problem is that, although my legs are a reasonably nice shape, they are so ... Read the complete review

I have tried numerous differnt kinds of fake tan over the past years but have never been able to find one that does not go strekey, until now. I have Olive skin and when I sit out in the sun I tan very easily and quickly. As I work full time and do not have the money to go on holiday I thought I would try a healthier way of ... My skin is an olive colour and I tan very well but I live in England, where there is hardly any decent sun and I don't go abroad very often so I needed a way to build a bit of a tan. I saw this is in a cheap chop in Birmingham, I can't remember the name but it was like a B & M kind of store. I only paid £1.50 for it and didn't really think it ... Read the complete review

I'm really pale skinned, but with brown-black eyes and very dark hair, so sometimes i do have a tendency to look like a goth. I used to work in a school for kids with severe behavioural problems and during a bit of an argument over taking their hood down, one told me to shut up because i looked like "wacko jacko". As ... I am probably one of the palest people you will ever meet! About this time of year I like to try and build up some kind of tan so that I don't look absolutely ridiculous in the summer months. So I trawl around the supermarkets and various shops such as Boots and Superdrug to see what fake tanning products I can find. I never know which ... Read the complete review

I have always been a fan of the Johnsons products, particulary the baby products even though I am a grown woman. Therefore I was intrigued to try the Johnsons holiday skin body lotion when I saw it advertised on the TV. I have never been a huge fan of fake tans, I've had a bad history of them from being bright orange to being a streaky mess but ... Read the complete review

I am milk bottle white all year round, which is annoying when I go on holiday and am easily the palest person in the resort! To counteract this, I decided to try this product. I have had some bad experiences with fake tans in the past, and have temporarily turned an unnatural shade of tangerine depending on the product. I was swayed by this ... Read the complete review

I have used "fake tan" many times and have been in spray booths as well, but by far the best tan is natural hint of tan, and the easiest way to acheive this is with a body lotion with a hint of tan. This is also a good way for a novice self-tanner to begin doing a DIY tan for the first time. One of the one famous ... Read the complete review
