Johnson's Silky Skin Shower & Shave Cream

Johnsons shower and shave is a 2 in 1 product designed to be used as both a body wash and a shaving cream. It comes in three different formulas - Nourishing, Refreshing and Comforting. I bought the comforting one, which contains aloe vera, and so that is the product I will be referring to throughout this review. ~Packaging~ This comes in a baby pink coloured bottle with the johnsons logo and product information written over a background of pink bubbles. This was brought as a stocking filler for me and has been sitting in my bathroom cupboard for nearly a year so decided to start actually using what I had. This is made by Johnsons and is a shower and shave cream. It comes in a 250ml bottle with a flip lid. When I fist used it I must admit I went a bit mad with it, but after a few showers I had the right amount down to a tee. The idea is that when you are showering you add a small amount into the palm of your hand and then mix with some water and rub the cream over your legs. I really only bought Johnson's Silky Satin, shower and Shave Cream as it was on offer. It retailed at around £1.40 for a 250ml, plastic bottle in Netto. The pink packaging is very reminiscent of Johnson's Baby products and very distinctive. The idea behind the product is that this body wash works as a great cleanser that offers rich moisturising for your skin and also enables you to have a great shave of your underarm area or whatever. I never bother to pull out shaving gel or foam and shave my legs, there just never seems to be the time for a luxury for that, so I always end up, running my blade over my legs while in the shower and just using normal shower gel. For some reason my skin, although sensitive to perfumes and strong scented shower gels, is immune to blades, and I cant ever remember a time I got a nick. I came across this some time last year when it was first out. I tend to stick with gillette shave cream (which I've reviewed on here) because I know what it's like and it does the job, so I wouldn't have noticed this if it weren't for the signs up advertising it. Silky Skin Show & Shave Cream is produced by Johnson's, (branched under 'Johnson & Johnson'), who have years of knowledge and experience in skincare. I have fairly sensitive skin so I tend to opt for products that say they're kind or especially designed for sensitive skin.
