Advantages: Offers really good moisturisation. Lovely smell. Not too dear for the results. Sinks in easily.
Disadvantages: None for me.
My skin isn't overly dry for most of the year and as I seem to have a knack of choosing body lotions that take forever to sink in properly, I can't say that I'm a huge fan in general. However, during the cold weather (which let's face it, is most of the year in the UK!), I often find that the skin on my arms starts to flake quite a bit after a bath or shower.
This particular body lotion has been in my toiletries stash for a while and I've only just got around to giving it a whirl lately. I'm not a patient person at all so I can't be doing with waiting around for body lotion to sink in. I was pleased to see that this wasn't a problem here. The texture is not particularly thick but even so, I've found that this doesn't always dictate how well you can expect it to sink in so it was a relief to find that I could get dressed again within 5 minutes. It has a lovely smell, which lingers for a little bit and is worth bearing in mind if you plan to use perfume or body spray afterwards as it does clash for a while.
Since I've been using this body lotion, I've noticed that the skin on my arms is less prone to flaking after a bath so I'm assuming that this means it's doing something good for balancing my skin's moisture levels and it lends some weight to the 24 hour claims. I probably shouldn't be too surprised as the packaging flags up that it contains shea butter and cocoa butter, both of which are recommended for moisture-boosting properties. I'm not using the body lotion on skin that is particularly rough so I can't comment on the claims that it softens and smoothes this but it's certainly done wonders for the dry areas on my upper arms in particular.
Price-wise, Boots sell this for just over £3 at the moment, which I feel is a fair price. It goes on easily, which means that I don't need to use a huge amount so it lasts a good amount of time.
Summary: Great results
