Advantages: Handy box set, nice intro to Korres

Disadvantages: A tad pricey

I write this as I listen to VH1's "Top 20 Classic Love Songs", so if my descriptions get a bit romantic, it's the music influencing me, not a weird fetish...

Well, as previously stated in a review, my sister gets these sorts of things cheap or free for me via her job. A week or so before I had an upcoming holiday to Saudi Arabia ('holiday' is a loose term here) she got me this 'Mens kit' to take away with me. Seeing it was a collection of small items rather than larger bottles, I was naturally disappointed (size DOES matter..) but took it regardless. I realise how materialistic that makes me sound.

The kit is a little box set of five items; Absinthe Shave Cream, Marigold and Ginseng aftershave balm, Magnesium and Wheat Proteins Shampoo, Juniper and Rum Showergel, and Ruscus and Chestnut Eye Cream. As with all Korres products it seems, the products are designed to be unique and pleasing to the senses, so you get a nice variety covering a fair deal of your daily grooming. If you were to see the reviews of these Korres products on a site such as Mankind, you'd see they generally receive 4 or 5 stars each, so these aren't poor quality.

The packaging is a black flip top box with a basic yet stylish picture on the front. There's nothing special about Korres' design, but it is certainly smart. The products are listed on the side, and the back has a slightly more detailed list in English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Italian, and Greek. At least 3 times on or in the box you will also find the list "Dermatogically tested, Mineral oil free, Silicone free, Propylene Glycol free, Ethanolamine free" which would suggest they are rather proud of those facts! Inside the lid is a brief description of Korres as a company and their ethics, and the locations of flagship stores. A well thought out piece of packaging if that floats your boat.

I've used all of the products except for the eye cream, as I'm only 18 and lead a stress-free life, so I don't think my eyes need grooming yet! I won't review them all individually, but they are all great quality products and comfortably lasted at least a week. Obviously this depends on how generous a portion you use. The sizes of the contens are as follows;
Absinthe Shave Cream - 25ml
Marigold & Ginseng Aftershave Balm - 25ml
Magnesium & Wheat Proteins Shampoo - 50ml
Juniper & Rum Showergel - 50ml
Ruscus & Chestnut Eye sachet - 2ml

The price of this is generally £14.50, or at least just under the £15 mark anyway. You could buy some high street brands of the same sizes for about £4, but where's the fun in that?! It's a good introduction to Korres products, a fine brand. It's a handy gift due to its box. It's a great travel set. So i'd recommend this, but only if you're serious about grooming.

Summary: Probably the best Greek men's kit box set you'll ever own...
