Advantages: I love the smell of this and it absorbs so quickly

Disadvantages: Possibly a bit expensive for some

I have always been a huge fan of body lotions as I love to apply them to my skin after I have juts had a soak in the bath or after my shower. I couldn't imagine never using a body lotion and I have a slight 'panic' if I think I am running out of my favourites and will have to stock up - I am strange like that!

I have been using Lacoste Touch of Pink Body Lotion for just over two years now but wasn't aware of it before then though I understand it is not a new fragrance, and has in face been around since 2004 when it was first launched. I first bought this body lotion from Boots and was attracted by the vibrant pink chunky looking bottle at the time - that, plus the fact that I had some Boots Points I wanted to use up so I thought it was the perfect thing I needed to cheer me up.

The first tube I used lasted me about four months, and the size wasn't too big, either at 15ml. The price at the time was around the same as it sells for now, which is £18, so no guys, it isn't cheap body lotion but it is a NICE one to use for special treats or just occasionally.

As I say, I was primarily attracted to the bright pink tube which really did stand out on the shelf and I remarked to my friend that as I already had the perfume and knew the smell was gorgeous, that I thought I'd try the body lotion too. It is just so feminine to look at and although the packaging is plain, it does have the Lacoste logo on the front of the tube and it is not too fussy or intricate to look at, which I love.

I understand you can also buy shower gel in this range and have seen this as part of a three part gift set, though I have not personally used the shower gel, I'm betting it is as nice as the body lotion and the perfume.

Lacoste Touch of Pink Body Lotion is so easy to dispense. You just pull back the flip top lid and squeeze a bit out into the palm of your hand. I like to apply this to my entire body folks and I always start at my feet and work my way up. I love the fact that it is so easily absorbed and it never once has left me feeling sticky, tacky or greasy afterwards and it feels so light and fresh.

What does it smell like, I hear you ask? Well, let me try to describe to you but it's hard unless you smell it yourself and I probably won't do it justice. It is light and fresh and floral and I can always detect the smell of musk, vanilla and jasmine. For me, those are the overriding aromas of this lovely lotion though probably someone else might be able to detect more subtle whiffs in the background, these are the ones which are always at the forefront of my mind when I am applying it.

Once it has been applied, I don't hang around to wait for it to dry or anything, I dress and I'm ready to go and it honestly doesn't feel like my clothes are sticking to my body.

The consistency is thick and creamy and not at all runny like a lot of body lotions can be and I think it is this which also makes it dry really fast and helps it to be absorbed quickly into the skin.

What I especially love to do is to 'layer' the body lotion with my perfume and that way I find that it lasts so much longer than simply using just the one product. I am often complimented when I use Lacoste Touch of Pink Body Lotion together with the perfume and it is something which although I don't use every day, I am happy to pay the slightly higher price tag for something that smells so classy.

Highly recommended as a lovely lotion and a lovely smell to boot.
