Advantages: effective, quick
Disadvantages: cost, having to avoid the sun
I have just had my second laser treatment for underarm hair. I have fair skin and black hair (lots of it) and am therefore a prime candidate. The treatments are about £60 each for underarm, which I don't think is prohibitvely expensive (and I should hopefully onlly need about 5 or 6 treatments) and it takes about 10 minutes each time. It's jolly painful under the arms, but only momentarily so, and it really is worth the pain. As I say, I've only had two treatments but the effects are amazing. Whereas previously I got ingrowing hairs when waxing and could only shave every two or three days (as the re-growing hairs gave me terrible and unsightly shaving rash), I am now hair free (at least until the next treatment - and even then, the hairs which do grow now are much finer and fewer and further between). I used to have to plan what I wore when - to accord with my bloomin armpit hair situation, but now I can wear what I want WHEN I WANT! I will continue with my treatments until I have had about 5 and then, who knows, maybe I'll never have to touch a razor or go to be waxed again. My salon gives a written guarantee, so I'll be going back until it's all gone and the guarantee is fulfilled. The rest of my body had better prepare itself, as the lasers will be heading southwards..
