... there is a burning sensation caused by the ingredients of the mouth wash. However the mouth wash does give a nice scent to the breath and helps one to feel like they have properly cleaned there teeth. The only thing is becuase it is so strong, you cannot give it to young children which is a nuisance because you want to know that your childrens teeth are adequately protected also. My other problem is that it is always so much more expensive then a lot of the other brands of mouth wash so if other brands have special ...more

Premium Review Listerine Mouthwash in General: Deep Clean Sensation (249 words)
by - written on 24/10/09 (Very useful, 24 readings)
Rating:

I love Listerine - It's the only mouthwash I like using. It comes in a plastic bottle of varying sizes and prices and different flavours - my favourite is the blue one. There is a handy safety lid on it which means it is hard for kids to get into because I can imagine if swallowed, this stuff would hurt quite alot. What I like about this product is that you can actually feel it working - best used after brushing your teeth you only need a capful to rinse your mouth with. I can actually feel this product working as it leaves a slight, burning or tingling sensation which makes it feel like it is doing a good job - my partner who is a dental student ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Blows your mouth! Fantastic Mouthwash! (669 words)

Listerine is a mouth wash I have been using for years, what I love about it is how strong it is, and I feel like it gives me really fresh breath. ***About Listerine*** Listerine comes in a clear plastic bottle, it has a safety cap so children can't just get there hands on the stuff and drink it! Its clear and the packaging looks hard, what I mean by that is it gives the message well that this is strong mouth wash that will blow your mouth out! There are lots of varieties of mouthwash that Listerine make, they do a cool mint, soft mint and a few other that I have seen on the shelf's I have only ever tried the Original which is Listerine ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Listerine Mouthwash in General: My mouth is on fire (648 words)

Listerine is one of those brands that I trust to get the job done, but the taste certainly isn't for everyone. We all know that looking after teeth is vitally important; removing dental plaque and tartar it vital to avoid and prevent gum diseases, gingivitis and it helps to keep teeth strong, but if I'm honest, at 20, the main reason I use mouthwash, along with brushing, isn't because I'm scared of gingivitis but because I want minty fresh breath and pretty white teeth. Listerine is an American product that was originally formulated by Dr. Joseph Lawrence and Jordan Wheat Lambert as a surgical antiseptic in 1879 and named after Dr Lister, who was a pioneer ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hot hot (279 words)

I first purchased this mouthwash a few years ago when going on a camping trip, it seemed liked a handy thing to have to keep my mouth clean and frsh. The store i got it from had a buy one get one free offer and so I chose both flavours. Cool mint and the original flavour. I had no idea what to expect from the original one, but from the words cool mint I was expecting this one to be nice and refreshing, so I tried this both of them in an attempt to find out which one i liked most. I found out Listerine Cool Mint is a lot more more palatable than Listerine Original with its medicinal flavour and appearance. The Original has a much more powerful taste which leaves for a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Listerine Mouthwash in General: want healthy gums? (509 words)

It wasn't till a while a go I actually started using mouthwash, I didn't really think there was much point, but after finding out that it was scientifically proven that using Listerine mouthwash reduces about 56% more plaque then brushing alone! In most households, mouthwash is getting more and more popular every week, every time I go to the shops (usually Tescos) there seems to be more mouthwash every time I look at it. I haven't personally tried all of the Listerine products, only two, and so far they've both be good! I'm yet to try more, apart from the Citrus flavour as i've heard bad things about that one - so stay clear! My first, and personal ...  Read the complete review
