Oral health and hygiene is particularly important nowadays what with all the sugary foods and foods packed with additives we consume each day. We are advised now to carry out 3 oral hygiene steps per day. We should brush twice a day, floss at least once a day and rinse with mouthwash, preferably after brushing. Listerine, like all mouthwashes, is a great mouthwash for helping your mouth to feel clean and fresh, but I feel Listerine has the added benefit of really sterilising your mouth with the added antiseptic. I was first made aware of Listerine about 25 years ago when my younger sister had a blood disorder, which caused huge blisters to form inside her ... Read the complete review

Listerine and me – our haunted history ************************************************ Even now, at the age of 31 years old with a family of my own, I still wake up screaming in the middle of the night, drenched in a cold sweat as the memories of my childhood. I can remember, as if it was yesterday, standing, shivering in my nightie in front of the bathroom mirror, being taunted by the inconspicuous bottle of mouthwash perched on the shelf in front of me. I can almost hear it’s maniacal laughter now as my mother or father would shout in to me from the other side of the wall “Don’t forget to use the Listerine!”. I can feel my nose start to twitch ... Having good teeth is important to me, I will never forget the time when the dental nurse came into school and proceeded to embarrass everyone who didn't brush their teeth properly by making us eat those horrid tablets which showed up the dirt and grime on your teeth and then showed the whole class where we needed to brush and to brush properly. The best thing about those visits was the good people got some sweets (which I always found slightly odd) and we were given a free toothbrush, a sticker and some toothpaste. Ever since that day I've sworn to have healthy teeth and gums and aid that fight not only do I visit the dentist regularly every 6 months but I clean my teeth ... Read the complete review

***Listerine Original Antibacterial Mouthwash*** ** Listerine. Bad for Bacteria. Good For Gums ** The importance of using mouthwash is essential today. There are many additives, sweeteners, and sugars lurking within our foods that we ourselves are sometimes not even aware of. Even though we take every precaution to limit our sugar intake, there are foods on the market that contain large amounts of sugar, and other ingredients that can be the major cause of tooth decay, and rotting of the gums. Processed foods are high in sugar, and that's just a small example of products that contain harmful ingredients that can cause ... Read the complete review

Listerine Original has been around a while. It used to be advertised on TV by a humorous cartoon character called Clifford the Dragon. Only after gurgling a mouthful of Listerine in order to extinguish his halitosis was Clifford able to seduce the Princess. The ads were dumped when it was decided to market the mouthwash as an all round product promoted as an accompaniment to toothpaste and a cure for tooth decay and gum disease. Listerine Original is medicinal in appearance or looks like something you could use to clean hospital floors. The vile unpleasant taste is the compromise the consumer makes in order to receive the acclaimed benefits. Somehow, despite ... Read the complete review
