... time. I find this mouthwash has a longer lasting effect than some other brands. Although you get a reasonable amount in the bottle you do need a good mouthful to be able to swill properly so a small bottle does not really last very long. Maybe only a week with regular use. At around £3 or more a bottle it is more expensive than some other brands but I do think you get what you pay for. It is avialble from almost all chemists and supermarkets alonfg with the other Listerine mouthwash varieties....more

Premium Review Listerine Softmint Mouthwash: Taking the sting out of Listerine (468 words)
by - written on 02/07/09 (Very useful, 91 readings)
Rating:

Bad breath is something I become easily worried about - not helped by the fact one of my colleagues has it really bad and I always wonder how do they not know?? My other half is a Listerine devotee but despite my bravest attempts I just couldn't handle it, he is clearly a glutton for punishment as the pain and stinging associated with the majority of their brands was too intense for my little mouth! Now I know no pain no gain but this was way too much and it nearly put me off mouthwash for good. Listerine Softmint Sensation stands out from its counterparts on the supermarket shelf by being a light green colour, much more appealing in my opinion than the purple ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review This is what I've been waiting for! (368 words)

I've never been able to use Listerine as I find it really painful, it just stings like hell every time I use it, but at the same time other mouthwashes don't seem to give me the clean feeling that Listerine does. So, when this new Softmint version came out I jumped at the chance to try it. It costs £2.39 for 250ml or £4.30 for 500ml in Boots. It comes in a clear plastic bottle so you can always easily see how much you have left, and it has a black lid. The lid is a 'safety lid', which is supposed to be too difficult for children to open because you have to press in both of the sides at the same time as turning it. This does stop children from being able to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Listerine Softmint Mouthwash: Listerine Softmint.. Better Than Coolmint! (753 words)
by - written on 06/05/09 (Very useful, 146 readings)

I am fairly new to the Listerine range as I used Colgate Plax mouthwash before. The only reason I changed was because I read many good reviews about it and it is clinically proven to do more things than the Plax. When I went into my local Boots I was taken back by the large range of different mouthwashes Listerine do. Teeth & Gum, Coolmint, Softmint, Freshburst, Total Care, Stay White, Original & Cool Citrus. Along with the different mouthwashes was the different sized bottles ranging from 95ml - 500ml. And for each bottle the price varied alot. Now, what made me choose the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review DIY torture kit for 99p! (582 words)

I always used to use Listerine but then bought some Dentyl mouthwash to see what was in the sink! However I moved back to Listerine mouthwash recently because the Dentyl mouthwash I had been using had a product recall. So trusty old Listerine is now back on my bathroom shelf. The Listerine product I am currently using is Softmint Sensation antibacterial mouthwash and in really big letters on the label there are those reassuring words that promise "Milder Flavour". Now I personally use Listerine as I have became a tooth cleaning addict in my older age and I floss every night. Now this is mainly to avoid that disapproving look that my dentist ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Listerine Softmint Mouthwash: Milder Flavour, only burns 75% of your tongue! (315 words)
by - written on 26/05/09 (Very useful, 95 readings)
Rating:

I have tried many different mouthwash over the years as I am a smoker and fresh breath is something I am a little paranoid about. Firstly the one thing I hate about mouthwash in general is the fact hat it just burns my tongue, I just find most of them to strong. Although Listerine has always been one of my first choice mainly because it is a long standing reputable brand name and it isn't too expensive. So when I saw they were doing a milder flavour I thought I would give it a go as I really hate that stingy, burning sensation on my tongue as it actually hurts me. Listerine Softmint Sensation is an antibacterial mouth wash available to purchase from ...  Read the complete review
