Advantages: Not too expensive, freshens your breath like no other mouthwash
Disadvantages: Still a little too strong for me, small price to pay for fresh breath
I have tried many different mouthwash over the years as I am a smoker and fresh breath is something I am a little paranoid about.
Firstly the one thing I hate about mouthwash in general is the fact hat it just burns my tongue, I just find most of them to strong. Although Listerine has always been one of my first choice mainly because it is a long standing reputable brand name and it isn't too expensive. So when I saw they were doing a milder flavour I thought I would give it a go as I really hate that stingy, burning sensation on my tongue as it actually hurts me.
Listerine Softmint Sensation is an antibacterial mouth wash available to purchase from most supermarkets and retailers that sell health and beauty products. It's roughly £2.50 for 500ml. It advertises that it can reduce plaque by up to 56% more than brushing alone if used twice daily and provides 24hrs protection. The packaging is a clear plastic bottle with a silver and green label and a black child safe screw on lid.
It recommends using 20ml for 30 seconds. Well putting all this information aside i can honestly say it still burns my mouth. The minty sting is still far too strong. Yes it does keep your breath fresh for a couple of hours, but being a smoker the freshness will never last all day. I don't know if I am just overly sensitive but like I said it still burns my mouth. I still use it as most other mouthwash have the same affect.
Other than the fact I find it to strong my mouth does feel extremely fresh after using this mouthwash, a lot fresher than brushing alone and I haven't found another mouthwash that lasts as long
Great mouthwash just a pity i'm a wimp!
Summary: Great product just wish they could get rid of the sting altogether.
