Advantages: Gloriously fragrant cooling gel which is a joy to use
Disadvantages: Doesn't make the wobbly bits wobble less (but then, would you really expect it to?)
OK - I admit it, I am on a constant search for that miracle product to make my wobbly bits, well, less wobbly, without any work. As I am a fan of Liz Earle products, I thought I may as well give one more product a try.
The first thing that strikes you about this product is the absolutely amazing fragrance - those clever people at Liz Earle know a thing or two about blending a fragrance. The mix of damask rose water, ginkgo bilboba (whatever that may be), horse chestnut, butcher's broom, ivy and 10 essential oils is absolutely glorious. The essential oils used, according to the marketing speak, were chosen to stimulate and uplift - well I don't know about that, but they definately smell nice and get you ready to start the day.
The idea is that you massage the gel into your hips, thighs, stomach etc (ie the wobbly bits) after bathing in circular movements to stimulate the bodys natural mechanism to get rid of toxins and fluid retention. The packaging suggests best results are achieved in conjunction with body brushing exercise and increased water intake and recommends that following using the gel, Liz Earle's Nourishing Botanical Body Cream is used (clever cross selling there!)
The gel is lovely and cooling to apply and does absorb into the skin nicely. IT leaves the skin feeling smooth and of course deliciously fragranced.
You can buy the product direct from the Liz Earle website at £16.50 for a 150ml tube. or if you just want a taster, you can buy a 30ml tube for £4.25.
Does it do what it sets out to do and help smooth the wobbly bits? No, of course not - deep down I know that the only thing that will do the trick is the massage/body brushing combined with exercise and extra water, but if you can apply a nice smelling gel at the same time why not?
My search goes on for the miracle cream that makes me wobble less with no effort, but in the mean time I am quite happy to use this lovely scented gel pretending to myself that it may actually be doing some good.
Summary: Lovely product which is a nice treat, but don't expect smooth skin without work
