“ Brand: Lulu Timebomb / Type: Body Cleanser / What it does: Cleanses, „
Up until recently I had never heard of Lulu Bombshell body products. I love it when you come across a product that you have never seen before, buy it or try it on a whim and instantly love it. Lulu Bombshell Body is one of those brands, their mantra 'Age Victoriously' really caught my attention. As soon as I opened my packaging I was probably a little too excited at what a saw before me - baby pink tubes!
Those who know me well will know that I love the colour pink and the packaging you see here in the picture shown above is every bit as pink there as it is when you have the tube in your hands. The tubes are so sleek in design and not overly bulky making them much easy to hold on to and it features a flip top lid which again is easy to use.
Lulu Bombshell's Revealing Body Cleanser is sold in a 200ml tube and when it comes to using it, surprisingly you only need to slightly squeeze the tube to release some of the cleanser inside. On the front of the tube it tells you "polishing crystals demolish dry, rough skin producing shimmery sleep results. The flipping the tube over you will find the following blurb:
"Take it off...take it all off...it's time to take off that outer layer of dead cells that keeps your skin from looking young, fresh and dewy. Wash away the old and reveal the new with a unique combination of soft exfoliating bead and sharp micro-crystals that work together to gently lift and remove the dry, dead top layer of skin unveiling a more even, smooth texture underneath...essential to a fresher, younger-looking appearance. Infused with a special blend of green and red algae, and silk amino acids, this formula moisturises while cleansing to leave you with more polished, velvety skin".
When it comes to using this product the directions are really simple as you can use it in either the bath or the shower, you simply massage it onto your wet skin and as you massage it onto your skin, you can feel the crystals and beads working on your skin to remove dead and dry skin cells, though they are not overly harsh and nor do they scratch the skin. Again once out of the tube, this cleanser is not quite see through but not overly creamy as you might it expect it to be, it is more like a gel and mixed in with the gel you can feel really fine ground down particles and they are referred to as being 'polishing crystals and exfoliating beads' whose task it is to work together to lift and remove the dull, dry top layer of skin. As you massage your skin, you can feel the beads and particles working on your skin, they are not overly abrasive, though naturally the more pressure you apply to your skin, the harsher it can feel.
Once out of the shower and all dried off, my skin feels soft and silky smooth to the touch and on my skin is a slight hint of Lavender which is so subtle, even those who are not keen on the scent won't mind. I love the scent of Lavender and really like the scent of this.
As well as the packaging and the ability this product has to remove dry skin and leave you with soft and smooth in its place, it also smells absolutely divine. It is no secret that lavender is one of my favourite scents, though I prefer a more fresh, as though as it has just been picked lavender to one which is slightly chemical in scent. This product has the freshly just picked Lavender smell and it is packed full of lovely ingredients, such as:
---> Rosemary Leaf Oil - Good for stimulating your bodys circulation
---> Lavender Oil - Known for its ability to promote calmness, reduce stress and tension. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory when on the skin and can also be used for its balancing effects on the skin.
All of the ingredients can be found listed on the back of the tube or on the official website along with further information on this products and the rest of the range.
I have become a real fan of this product, it smells lovely, is kind to the skin even though it is an exfoliating cleanser and it leaves my skin feeling clean as well as soft and smooth to the touch.
As I said, I hadn't heard of these products until very recently, but one quick search online and I was surprised to find how readily available they actually are and you can find them here - QVC, timebombco.com, Amazon, Victoria Health, Look Fantastic and selected dept stores inc Fenwick. A 200ml tube will cost £14.50 and if you use it once or twice a week you will find that it lasts for a good few months, naturally the more often you use it , the quicker it will run out. For me, I am enjoying using it.
