... floral, but it has a twist. In the middle is extra virgin coconut oil that has a butter like consistency that will melt when you're in the shower and soften your skin. It also adds a lovely coconut smell too! The ingredients include Fair Trade Sugar and sodium bicarbonate (etc) that create its shape and texture. Then of course there is the extra virgin coconut oil, as well as ylang ylang oil and mimosa absolute to give it its scent. All the ingredients work together to smooth and moisturise the skin. It costs £2.50 fo...more

Premium Review Lush A Sugar Babe: Scratchy Babe! (727 words)

I love body scrubs, I suppose you could say I'm a little obsessive when it comes to exfoliating. When I saw that Lush had come up with two solid body scrubs, I really wanted to try one, and bought one about a month ago when I was in Edinburgh indulging in a little bit of retail therapy! I opted for Sugar Babe over the other solid Lush scrub, Sugar Scrub, just because I preferred the name. I like that the scrub is packaging free, given the amount of this sort of product I go through in an average year, I suppose I must be wasting a lot of packaging, so it's nice to know I'm helping the environment a bit by buying this product. The scrub is round and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sugar babe scrub! (362 words)

The sugar babe sugar scrub from Lush is a sugar exfoliant which is a pinky white colour. Lush do two types of sugar scrub, one is pinky white and one is green. I have yet to use the green one so I can only comment on the sugar babe scrub, which is the pinky white one. One of the first things to note is the extremely reasonable price tag. At only £2.50 a pop the product is definately acceptable; I have found that I can get upwards of ten uses from each one. The centre of the scrub is filled with extra virgin coconut oil which is very moisturising once you have used enough to reach the centre. Directions for use are to get skin wet and then use the scrub, staff ...  Read the complete review

When I found the new sugar scrubs on Lush's website I thought they looked great and sounded wonderful so I couldn't choose out the two (A Sugar and Sugar Babe) when I ordered so I bought both! Due to my great success with A Sugar (sorry Sugar - review I have done earlier) I thought this would be great! When you first look at Sugar Babe, it's not particuarly special! It's a pure white colour and if you look carefully you may even see the pink soft centre! However this is a sugar scrub not to be undermined! Sugar Babe is quite different to Sugar Scrub, it has a soft pink filling which is pure virgin coconut oil. Pure virgin coconut oil is the best natural ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review This Sugar Babe pushes my buttons! (1215 words)

Oh dear Lush is calling again! Actually I had a reason to visit my local Lush store this time because I was on a mission to prove to a friend just how good their products are and try to convert her from The Body Shop to Lush, her excuse for not going into a Lush shop is that they 'stink'... well yes they do and once you are inside any Lush shop to me the smell totally disappears and becomes unnoticeable. Pushing that aside, it was her 30th birthday and what is the best present to receive? A Lush package selected by me. Once I had selected a few of my favourite gifts to be boxed, wrapped and bow-tied together I was asked by the Lush assistant if I had noticed ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush A Sugar Babe: You scrubber (399 words)

Being a total Lush fanatic I regularly find myself scouring the website in search of something new and wonderful, so when I came across the new scrubs made by Lush's sister company B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful I decided to give them a go. There are two products in this range, sugar babe and sugar scrub. The green appearance and smell put me off sugar scrub so I decided on Sugar Babe. It has quite a sweet smell but not one I would choose for a bath ballistic, more of a sicky sweet rather than candy scent I normally go for. I first used it in the shower, rubbing in circular motions around all usual dry skin problem areas. Due to the half sphere ...  Read the complete review
