Advantages: Not scratchy, smells glorious, excellent value for money, no need for added moisturiser
Disadvantages: None
I spotted these on my recent visit to Lush, and thought for £2.50 a go, that it was worth a try.
They are the size of half bath bombs, with a delicate floral scent, that is hard for me to put my finger on, with a hint of coconut -but not the sickly sweet coconut. Its quite sophisticated really.
For the price and as it was sugar, I did not expect to get any more than a couple of uses out of one, so was pleasantly surprised.
I used the bar whole, for the first 4 uses. Get wet in the shower - don't take it in! - turn of water then glide over skin. It is abrasive, but not painful, and the coconut oil helps to keep skin beatifully moisturised at the same time. I thought the bar would start to crumble after this so squished it into an old (clean) black pot, and just take bits out as required.
I have used it at least 8 times now and I would say theres enough for at least another 3 or 4 uses, so for £2.50, I get about 12 scrubs from it, which is good value.
The scrub itself holds up well, and doesnt drop down the drain, like other scrubs with oil base I have used. I think as the coconut oil is more solid this helps, the scrub is just the perfect amount of abrasion for me, gets rid of unsightly crocodile skin legs and I have no need for added moisturiser after. The scent delicately lingers on your skin and I have found myself sniffing my arm hours afterwards - its feminine without being overpowering.
Its also great for knees, elbows and ankles/heels before self tan application.
I will definately be getting more of these!
Summary: A brilliant product - just remember not to take it under running water!
