... fennel. Although it's not a pretty as some of the other smells the oils in it are really good for smoothing the skin. Also this scrub is a lot tougher so it really will rub away those tough spots! The ingredients include Fair Trade Sugar and sodium bicarbonate (etc) that create its shape and texture. It also contains fresh ginger root, fresh fennel and lavender oil that will really stimulate and sooth the skin. This scrub costs £2.50 for 100g, which is expensive however you can try it in the shop to see that it actua...more

Premium Review Lush A Sugar Scrub: A good little scrubber (828 words)

Sugar Scrub is the second of Lush's solid body scrubs I have tried. The first one was Sugar Babe, and if anyone read my review on that product, they will know that I was less than impressed! The product left deep scratches on my arms and I was upset to the point I actually complained to Lush. They sent me an apology and some freebies and also said that they thought the problem was probably down to a fault with that particular batch (Lush products are all handmade if you're not aware). Even so, I can't say that I was keen to try another one! So, what changed my mind? Well I bought a Lush fresher's box which contained a mini Sugar Scrub and even though I was ...  Read the complete review

I wasn't impressed at all when I first seen this in my local Lush. At the end of the day,it's just sugar with some colouring, right? Well, apparently not! My boyfriend bought me a load of stuff recently and this was one of the things he got me. So,I used it,to be nice. One of the things in this is fennel - and, personally,I think you can smell it and it's a lovely, fresh smell. Others may not agree. I love the colour,I'll admit - and it looks good on your bathroom shelf. Some people have been complaining that this disolves when you put it under the water, and they aren't happy with Lush etc - all I have to say to that is ...  Read the complete review

I only popped into Lush last week for a fresh face mask. I heard they had a new one out which pleased me as I'd tried all the others. I found it, and handed it over to the man on the cash register, expecting to be out of the door thirty seconds later. However the guy at the counter asked if I had seen the poster in the window. They had just started promoting 'The Fresher Box' aimed at new college students which offered eight products for £10 and was on offer to all customers, not just the students. He said a face mask was included with the offer and for only about £3 more I would have seven other products. I got my full-size face mask, two small soaps, two ...  Read the complete review

Lush Sugar Scrub: On the way to catch a coach from Bristol to York, (a huge deal for me as I have agoraphobia), I decided to nip into Lush as I never usually go to town and I thought it would calm me down before my long coach journey. We had put quite a bit of money aside for the trip and the various bits we would need so I decided to have a little splurge! The assistant was a perfect example of why I love Lush; she was bubbly, enthusiastic and really friendly. I am not stupid and know that they are trying to sell you things but I like the attention and the atmosphere in Lush stores. I also like that you get 'all sorts' working in Lush, you'll get ...  Read the complete review

Whilst in Edinburgh staying with Dave (he is still working up there) recently I went into Lush in Princes Street. This is always a big treat for me as we don't have a branch at home in Llandudno. Our nearest branch is Chester, which is quite a distance away so whenever I am near to a branch I pop in and treat myself to some goodies and why not? This time I wanted to get some hair care items and when I had made my choices I took them to the counter where the assistant told me that I could go and choose one of the free gifts which were scattered around the store as I had spent over £20. I decided to try the Sugar Scrub as I do occasionally exfoliate ...  Read the complete review
